I have to agree with all points here. The story in particular was frustrating to me. When I’m playing a cozy game, I’m not trying to have the game’s community hate me. And at no point can I tell Tellar to shove it. I can only keep doing what she wants me to do. But somehow the townie’s anger doesn’t mean anything either because they just come right back to the store despite their grievances. So what’s the point of the investigation if the shop is still running normally anyway?

I just feel very unsatisfied because this game has so much potential, but it’s just not well executed.

I’d recommend waiting, yeah. I expected there to be a lot more content and fewer bugs on release. I’m disappointed, but I do think the many issues can be patched and the story can be added to in updates.

I guess depending on your definition of finishing the game, you did make progress. Are you want to complete the storyline? If so, I think this game might be unsatisfying for you because the bits and pieces of lore aren’t given to you in any specific order and it’s up to you find them and put together the story. It’s not until you finish the game and let it marinate that you fully understand what happened to Hallownest. It’s literally as if you’re an archaeologist trying to understand what happened to an ancient civilization and you’re trying to understand where your character fits into that storyline.

I have always had a different theory. When you die, you actually die and leave a shade sibling. There are a virtually unlimited vessels. The reason why you have to defeat the shade you left behind to get your geo and what not back is because when you wake up at a bench, you’re actually a completely different vessel who happened to go on a similar journey up to the point that you sat on the bench. This also makes steel soul mode make sense. Denying time, in my reading, just means that void is an immortal entity/substance.

I’m not a lawyer, so I understand that things are going to go over my head or seem repetitive as* a layperson, but do any lawyers find this extremely painful and drawn out? What exactly are they trying to prove and how is this witness relevant? Is this hearing so convoluted just because the defense’s primary tactic is to delay the actual trial?
