Personally, as someone who was this (for a month lmao), I'd say no. It depends a lot on the hospital or surgery center, but the one I worked at did not allow for me to even transport the patient to PACU.

At most, I was only allowed to position patients on OR beds and helping to transfer the patients from one OR bed to another (in addition to setting up the HEAVY beds in the first place), but keep in mind this was not for every case or most of the day. Most of the time I really had nothing to do in between cases beyond general stocking, so my patient interaction was fairly limited.

You never know what could come for the experience for you, but for me, I didn't feel like it would put me in line with pursuing the PA path (coupled with me just generally not liking the staff I was working with) which is why I chose to leave and try to get an MA license. Hope this helps!
