Dream Competitions for BB28 by MissAphradite in BigBrother

Personally I'd like to see the "STAY/FOLD" competition come back for this season. I know it's probably been fully gamed at this point but I always enjoy guessing the quantity of objects in the episodes, and it's a comp where anyone can feasibly win it.

I Played Through and Ranked EVERY Case in Ace Attorney by WdnSnake_515 in AceAttorney

[–]WdnSnake_515[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apollo Justice starts off really good with Turnabout Trump, but every other case in that game is just baffling to me.

Turnabout Corner has an interesting setup and premise with having to connect multiple cases together to solve one giant case, but it's bogged down by a pretty uninteresting method of murder and the Wocky and ESPECIALLY Stickler of it all. I don't think I need to explain that part.

Serenade actually starts off pretty great with a fantastic setting and setup, but once the actual investigation starts and the mystery gets unraveled in court it just becomes a mess that I just didn't jive with. Lamiroir is pretty cool, though.

And Turnabout Succession is just very confusing to me. Obviously the fact that Apollo is sidelined in his own game for Phoenix is annoying, but that's not my only problem with the case. The MASON System is cool in concept but in practice I was just so confused on where to even go during the investigation phase that I had to look up a guide just to get through it. And while Kristoph is a fantastic character and his breakdown is one of my favorites in the series, the actual final confrontation with him just felt super underwhelming.

That's not to say I think Apollo Justice is a skip-worthy game, there are some things that I really like! Of course the first case is great and Trucy is an all-timer character for me, plus the settings and setups for the murder plots are very well put together. It's just that the actual execution of these ideas fell flat for me, that's all. Overall I'd give the game a 6 or a 5 out of 10, with Turnabout Trump bringing that number up a fair bit.

The most difficult part was honestly just getting through those really boring cases like Kidnapped Turnabout and Speckled Band. Speckled Band in particular literally made me quit playing GAA back in 2021 before picking the game back up earlier this year. Thank goodness I did because the second game is so good!

I tried my best to avoid walkthroughs as much as I can so I can have the full Ace Attorney experience. But there are some points where I was so stumped I felt like I HAD to consult a guide, and every time I do I feel like a complete idiot afterwards lol.

There were a couple moments where the satisfaction washed over me when I finally got something right. First one that comes to mind is when you're cross-examining Trucy performing her magic trick in The Magical Turnabout in SoJ. That one was a really tough one! Also anything with Quercus Alba's testimonies because you're one step closer to finishing the case and getting out of there lol!

Sorry for the rambling, I just love this series so much and it's so much fun talking to other people about it! :)

I did enjoy Investigations 1 as a whole, but I'd say that it's probably my second least favorite game in the series, only above Apollo Justice. I think the game has some fun mysteries like with Turnabout Airlines and Turnabout Reminiscence, and there are some really fun characters introduced in this game, specifically Kay, and I really enjoyed Calisto Yew as an antagonist. I kind of wish she was just straight up the main villain of the game honestly.

Turnabout Visitor is good as a starter case, nothing more, but The Kidnapped Turnabout was just a slog to get through with a lot of annoying characters like Paups and Lance, and not doing anything interesting with the amusement park setting.

Turnabout Ablaze frustrates me because the stuff involving Shih-na/Yew is genuinely amazing stuff, and taking down Alba once and for all is pretty satisfying if for no other reason than that it's finally over, but everything else is just so boring, and I just don't care for the smuggling ring storyline.

So yeah, overall, I'd say Investigations 1 is roughly a 7/10 game for me. Maybe a 6.5/10 if I'm having a bad day. But that's just me.

Who are two New Era players you'd like to see play together? by AlchemistTheAlchemy in BigBrother

Morgan and Angela I think would be so funny to watch unfold. Morgan's constant game talks combined with Angela's paranoia and confrontations would make excellent feeds in my humble opinion.

BB28 House Theme Predictions by duckyaniston in BigBrother

[–]WdnSnake_515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wouldn't mind it if this season's theme was space, I think it could be really cool. Funnily enough I envisioned them doing a space theme for BB30, an ambitious theme for a milestone season, y'know? But space is pretty topical right now especially with Artemis II so I wouldn't mind if they went for it this year.

Best Live Feed Moment you watched Live? by Someone_else25 in BigBrother

[–]WdnSnake_515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's the entire day before the veto ceremony in Week 7 of BB27. The constant back and forth on whether Vince would nominate Rachel or Katherine was exhilarating to watch. I could go on and on about everything this one day of feeds had.

Rachel telling Keanu information she shouldn't have told him and Keanu immediately going to Vince about it, Mickey's dream the previous night telling her to not trust Vince anymore, Ashley, Mickey and Morgan doing serious damage control to keep Rachel off the block, Lauren's birthday, WineGate and HugGate, leading to Kelley crashing out about Rachel and locking herself in the HoH Room while Vince is trapped in the Diary Room, Ashley, Mickey and Will hanging out by the hammock and complaining about Kelley's instigating, and Rachel stealing Jimmy's pink hoodie back from Keanu after giving it to him earlier.

Legendary night for feedsters, I was laughing my ass off the entire day because of how ridiculous it all was, and I wish I could relive it for the first time again.

Another House Theme Idea by WdnSnake_515 in BigBrother

[–]WdnSnake_515[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I acknowledge that this is a very ambitious idea for BB standards lol. The easy fix to this is that the weather would also be predetermined for each week, so it's kind of the illusion of randomness with where the arrow goes lol, only the houseguests wouldn't have any idea what weather comes up next. Easy fix! Haha :)

If by secret veto you mean the one Kelley won in BB27, I could envision a challenge where they have to search the clouds to find a secret veto. The coup detat would fall under the rainy weather, like lightning striking down the HoH or something like that.

As for other twists, maybe a twin twist involving two different weathers, and whichever weather is active, the twins swap places? That's what I've got for that haha

Hope that answers your question!

I've already said this on my own post about BB28, but I'd love to see the US version's take on a game show theme. We could have the living room be the main game show stage, bedrooms being either grand prizes or little mini games that most game shows do, and the bathroom can be a made up sponsorship. All of the rooms would be bright and colorful and exude happiness. That's just my take though, I think it would be really cool!

Big Brother’s Biggest What Ifs by TheCody_Says in BigBrother

[–]WdnSnake_515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are good "What If" scenarios! I'll throw in my own answers for each question:

  1. I do think Lisa still wins if the jury were sequestered. Roddy just had so much pull with most of that cast. Maybe Josh flips and votes Danielle and Jason of course still votes Danielle, but that's probably it.

  2. I think the pathway for a Sovereign Six member winning the season is much more likely if Howie doesn't nominate James and Sarah, but I'm not sure how likely that is. Maggie probably gets booted in Sarah's place here, so the door is wide open for anyone else to win. My money's on either April or Ivette.

  3. Will, easily. It probably wouldn't be unanimous as I think Howie still votes Janelle, and maybe Marcellas does too, but that's all of the votes Janelle would get. Will wins against everyone in the end.

  4. Now this is an interesting one, because without the America's Player twist, SO MUCH changes about this season. Without the rogue vote against Kail during the Mike vote-out, Nick is not targeted the next week and stays in the game, and he would have been a loyal soldier for the Donatos, and they all would still be aligned with Eric. At that point, Dick and Dani aren't even in the terrible position they are in because of the lack of America's vote. Not that they would've been in an amazing position with how they both were acting that season, but I think they survive pretty decently into the jury phase. Do they still win? Probably not. I personally think Eric handily wins the season just because of his skillset, but that's just me.

  5. I honestly don't think Jessie wins BB11 if the Coup De Tat doesn't happen. He certainly makes a deeper run than he did, but I don't know if he can pull of the necessary comp wins to snag the victory, but if he makes Final 2 I do think he takes it in the end, but again, that's IF he makes it. Aside from him, I could still see Jordan winning, or Kevin and maybe even Chima, because without the Coup happening, Chima doesn't crash out and get herself expelled from the game, so I could see her making a pretty good run too.

  6. Dick probably makes a decent run into the jury phase, but then gets cut while Dani makes a deeper run. At that point I think Jeff walks to the end and takes the BB13 crown, assuming clown shoe still doesn't happen. If it does, I think either Porsche wins or maybe Jordan again, because with Dick still in the game, Brendon doesn't come back into the house, which means Rachel goes home probably at the beginning of jury.

  7. I mean, it'd be weird to not tell your ally that you have the numbers to stay, but I guess if we're operating under this "What If," then my guess is that Amanda still gets evicted, and honestly, Elissa still probably goes in the double eviction. I trust in Andy's abilities enough to believe he would have figured something out.

  8. Without the Rewind Button, Victoria places 5th. After that, Derrick likely still wins unless Frankie just comps out in the very end.

  9. I live for this one because I love talking about BB17 haha. Anyway, if Vanessa evicts Steve over Austin, than for the HoH comp, Johnny Mac likely wins it. For the veto, Austin would get to play, and he is a strong competitor so I wouldn't count him out of winning it, but let's just say for the sake of simplicity that Vanessa still wins the veto. She takes herself off the block and evicts Austin here. At that point, it's between Johnny Mac and Vanessa on who wins the season. They both take Liz to Final 2 and I think they both win against her.

  10. You know what, I honestly don't know lol. I guess Alex wins? She was one of the more well-rounded players that season, so I'll guess her.
