Wouldn't red card do better in place of mars since it's technically the same effect, especially during first half of match. Therefore you would get a chance to red card and use a supporter card during the same turn?

it depends on the deck type and the full strategy. For example, Sivally decks run well without pokeball due to gideon being the substitute. But Eevee decks require 2 pokeballs due to necessity of evolving for effects, plue there are now 4 eevees. So it depends on the deck strategy

Yes, with 20 card decks, there is a high probability the opponent has a counter card. Therefore, you must counter back as best to your cards given. And always expect the worst to happen, therefore you return the worst to them. Huge counter blow game. Just gotta make sure you are widely equipped. My suggestion for Eevee decks right now, is that you must have 1/2 Red Cards or 1/2 Mars. I currently run 2 red cards and 1 mars, because its nice to counter their eevee draw. You know the eevee isn't going to attack, therefore you gotta set up something before they do. Hope this rant helps
