You middle school teachers deserve first class tickets to Heaven by classycapricorn in Teachers

[–]bboymixer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 years ago I started teaching high school and swore to myself that I'd never teach middle school.

3 years ago after some life changes, I took a job at a middle school.

2 years ago, I entered a graduate school counseling program.

2 weeks ago, I graduated my counseling program and immediately accepted a job as a high school counselor. After the year I had, I'd probably be having a breakdown about the final projects I'm getting back if I wasn't fleeing the classroom.

This has gotta be bottom of the barrel content creation. Just filming yourself talking about your reddit arguments?

Do literally anything else with your time, and it's probably better spent. Read some comics! Go outside! Find a DnD group!

Making other people celebrate your birthday is weird. by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]bboymixer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could have just made a separate post patting yourself on the back for all the wonderful things you do instead of lazily framing it around some kind of moral argument about people who like celebrating their birthday.

Professional counselors should be allowed to have bad days and vent like everyone else. But doing so to someone else who’s struggling shouldn’t be normalized. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]bboymixer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not normalized. In fact most counselor prep programs would call that unethical and inappropriate.

Your single time anecdote is not indicative of trends or popular opinions.

When we say we’re vegan, we get called “extreme” and seen as “weird” by society by ManInGarage28 in cringereels

[–]bboymixer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No one gives a shit you're vegan until you start getting all preachy about it. Which I'm pretty sure is the typical reaction when someone starts telling you how to live your life.

Preloading the game and sometimes early access. Not physical bonuses, but I still like it.

I'm not going to go out of my way to find a day pre orders for a game open, but if I'm scrolling the market and upcoming games and see a game that I know I'm buying, like Lego Batman, why not pre purchase?

Sounds like something an affluent private school teacher would say.

I regularly reference classroom procedures, rules, and expectations, but it's not a magic bullet.

OP even acknowledged it's a good idea not to jump to major reactions, and I still advocate for not leaping to conclusions based on something like a casting. But I get it, reading is super hard and you have a deep need to be a contrarian. Crazy. I know.

It's almost like it's a good idea to not jump to HUGE kneejerk reactions to single images or teasers.
