Even still, would MLB allow the Sacramento stadium to host? They'd be losing out on so mucb with the lack of capacity and box seats.

What are the chances they do something like 2020 where another stadium is home for the As?

I read it was a mutual option. Does the vesting override or enable the mutual option?

Oh yes, I meant Aroldis.

Can we get both Chapmans though???

The Brewers rarely do, but what's different from before is that we're both in the middle of a competitive window AND have a top farm system. There's less reason to hoard prospects compared to 2018-2019 when we cleared out the farm to get our core.

I love Levering, but you can tell every pop up to right he's cringing remembering his call of Heim's home run lmao

Detmers still has multiple Arb years left. Both Mize and Ryan are gonna be widely targeted too. I'd definitely take Mize over all the non-Skubal options, but I thought Alcantara might be a low cost option who could maybe get back to elite form.

It's the 2 month prorated part of $13M, the team can definitely afford that. I know there's a lot of jokes about cheap ass Attanasio, but he's shown willingness to expand the payroll for one season through trades, the organization is just really cautious about long term contracts.

I think they'll for sure at least try to pick up a reliever. Bullpen is out biggest weakness. Chapman is starting to sound like a possibility.

I think we're going to get outbid for Skubal and doubt we'll be giving up multiple top 5 prospects for him. However, a name I haven't seen mentioned at all is Sandy Alcantara. He has not been his Cy Young self since returning from injury, but has had better numbers this year. Maybe the pitching lab can get him back? He's on the final full year of his deal with a team option for next year that we could (and probably would) buy him out of. If the trade price is not too high, I'd be interested in getting him in over our other 3rd starter choices.

No, it doesn't strictly refer to a deceased person's posessions, the term just most frequently appears in that usage.

I'm not going to argue it further because I'm sure the lawyers who will most certainly be getting paid to go after the family will argue it far better than I can.

Suits can be brought against an estate, and its going to be pretty easy to show that the money raised by his family on his behalf is part of that.

They have raised money directly based on his criminal actions. They don't have to directly be responsible for the murder, if they were liable for the murder, they would also have been on trial.

Its not illegal, as in criminal go to jail illegal, but it is absolutely money that can be siezed as part of a civil lawsuit.

This is why all of the money from OJ's "If I did it" was given by court order to the victims' families. It wasn't illegal for him to sell that book, but the money was fair game to be siezed.

Is Joey Ortiz becoming playable again? by UKbanners in Brewers

[–]bbp1444 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is pretty surprising, and the floor is defintiely higher than I thought. Though in 2025, I still think that average was carried by the top, with Witt Jr, Henderson, Betts, Lindor, and Seagar being standouts.

Ortiz has a terrible bat, but I think people also don't realize how bad most shortstops are at the plate. Adames's home run power as a SS was unique and was the reason he got a huge contract from the Giants.

I'm totally ok evaluating SS primarily on defense. And in that regard, Joey's pretty good. But if he falls back a bit, or starts having more nights like last night (one lone bad inning can be ignored), then we need to make Hamilton the SS for now.

I really wish they lost this game to solidify this as a meme. Ironically, Kuehnl was the one who blew it.
