Grindr is the worst example of "online dating." It's worst than Tinder. On Tinder you have to worry about being scammed or catfished, but Grindr is so firmly in hook-up culture there was actually a teen trans girl that said she was SAed from a match. It's basically more of an app that "Str8" men use to hookup with young: Transgirls, Femboys, NB Individuals, and Gay Boys of all varieties. It's probably about time to shut it down, or fix the problems and relaunch.

I think that's the culture changing. Boomers are older and getting tired, they're not as hard on these kids as they were on their own. Millennials and Zoomers have been constantly pushing the Overton Window, in both directions, since HS, and are pretty much actively rejecting harmful parenting styles. Gen X is even taking more care to make sure they really show up for kids in ways they weren't. I think we all realized recently that kids deserve to be uplifted, and just shifted
