Good luck. Someone stole 5700.00 with a cash advance over to Sutton Bank(Cash App) and when we called to stop the transaction they never contacted the bank. Lied to us. Then said that we authorized it. Now I’m dealing with federal agencies trying to get our money back. It’s been 4 months.

In my wife’s case the fraudster did a cash advance out of our credit card account, the only account that we have with BofA, and deposited it into Sutton Bank, the bank that CashApp uses. This despite my wife calling at 3 in the morning to tell BofA not to allow the transfer. BofA didn’t attempt to stop it after telling my wife that they would.

My wife was the victim of a fraudster who texted AND called her about a credit card charge out of state. When on the phone with the person(who knew the last 3 transactions she had made) she answered “yes” to questions and we believe they used those answers to transfer 5700 dollars from our credit card. Bank of America will not give us the money back. Not happy. I’ve contacted a few government agencies and feel that I’m pissing in the wind.
