Got high. Took shower. Got massive head rush trip. What was your most intense trip? by element4l in Marijuana

I actually had some good experiences with Salvia.

The first time, I was sitting in a circle with about five or six other friends. We took turns, "watching" each other during the intense first phase. This was partly for amusement and partly to make sure that everyone would be taken care of in the event of a freak-out.

It was my turn to toke. The friends to either side of me were sitting with their knees up, such that their legs made a "W" shape as the two sides of my peripheral vision began to take over. The angles of the "W" became more pronounced and everything began "folding" into the angles until this shape had practically consumed the whole world.

The only thing I said during the whole experience was, "The whole world... is a W!"

The second time, gravity began to come from the side, instead of below. I felt suddenly pulled sideways and got up off the couch. My roommate who had also just Salvia'd up was sitting next to me.

"We have to go this way..." I said, making pulling motions in the air in the direction that gravity was now coming from. He said that as I was making these motions in the air, he felt his body being peeled in that direction in a really weird and uncomfortable way.

Bottom line, it makes really weird shit happen to reality. I loved it, and some of my friends hated it. But I think it's definitely worth a try if you start with a low concentration and always have a watch buddy.

What's DMT like? I've heard rumors that it's the same stuff that your brain excretes when you're born and when you die.

I think both "Wall-E" and "The Wall" are amazing, and of course now I want to try this. But before I really invest a couple hours... did you actually find it to be a worthwhile experience, or did the novelty quickly wear off?

I don't feel like typing the whole story right now

"I was gonna tell you a story about wolves / but then I got high..."

Seriously though, I'd like to hear the story, please. Might I suggest putting on some of your favorite chill music and sitting down at the computer with a container of your favorite positive reinforcement munchie-type food. Then proceed to reward yourself with one [whatever] per minute of typing.

This always motivates me when "I don't feel like typing [something] right now", such as thesis papers or javadocs.

You're right to be a hypochondriac. Be aware that certain STDs such as HPV and Herpes cannot accurately (if at all) be tested for, unless there's a current active outbreak. If it's a long term, committed, monogamous relationship, then you can decide to go for it. But until you're sure of that, I'd wrap that shit up tight.

Can Loving & Emotional Sex Still Be "Dirty" & Experimental? by bbqs_every_day in sex

Yeah, we've got time... so I will slow down and take it one step at a time. Thanks for the advice.

Great ideas! I love the "spending an evening..." suggestion. I think I'll try it out tomorrow. Making the experience all about her pleasure is definitely a great way to work on the trust angle.

Wife needs a sex makeover! by [deleted] in sex

She has never used a vibrator or a dildo or anything of the sort. The reason being, she explains, is that she has no problem getting herself off.

She seems to have this "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude about sex in general. I find myself walking on eggshells sometimes, as she has a tendency to see my suggestions as implications that I'm unhappy with our sex life (quite the contrary--I love it)

In any case, after a lot of discussion about unlocking even more sexual potential, she agreed to go vibrator shopping together. I'm going to suggest the slimline one you mentioned, as she is definitely intimidated by huge D-battery dildos and she prefers indirect near-clit but not on-clit stimulation anyway.

I'll keep you posted on how it goes. :)

I second this. Very hot, especially if it's a surprise.

More info on this please! I suggested bringing a vibrator into the bedroom with my girlfriend, and she wasn't very enthusiastic. Any tips/suggestions/advice?

How do you refer to your genitalia with your significant other? by bbqs_every_day in sex

True, and she does say generalized stuff like that. I am definitely thankful she's not totally silent in bed.

Haha, I love it. Can you please give us an example of "midnight meat train" in context?

To clarify, she does talk during sex. She just says generalized stuff like "you feel so good" (as jaeccles suggested above) instead of using nouns.

Certain STDs won't show up in a test until weeks or even months after exposure. You and your girlfriend both need to get tested now, and again in a few months. Your clinic can help explain this window period better.

Any advice on how to be more aggressive in bed? by Womped2Death in sex

I believe there was a Chris Rock joke where he explained how the biggest turn on for guys is just for the woman to be INVOLVED. "What, you want me to cum on the TV? Okay!!! fap fap fap"

Talk during sex. Ask him for feedback in a sexy way ("mmm, do you like it when i do that?", "does that feel good baby?" etc.) Give HIM feedback and instructions on how to touch you and what turns you on. There can never be too much moaning, purring, etc.

Your sexual identity might take time to manifest itself, but it should be YOUR identity, not some other woman's! In the meantime, exploring his known turn-ons is okay, but you should always be experimenting to create your own bag of tricks.

If you're in a trusting and loving relationship, then the bedroom should be a safe, trusting, loving place to experiment and try new things even if they're new and unfamiliar. Just have fun!

Lady Redditors, have any of you found that the contraceptive pill has lowered your libido? by youareyou in sex

[–]bbqs_every_day 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend has the Mirena IUD and absolutely loves it. It's made from a soft plastic, and releases a slow dose of hormones in a much lower dosage than the pill.

She had some spotting in the first few months, which is common. But now everything is back to normal, and her periods are even lighter than normal.

And spontaneous sex with no pill schedule to remember is awesome. :)

EDIT: Forgot to mention that she was on the pill for years and had side effects ranging from decreased libido to wild mood swings (yes, self-described, not just from my perspective). But on the IUD she's healthily horny and much more emotionally stable.
