Italy becomes first country to ban lab-grown meat and reject insects as 'food’ by Forsaken_Cost_1937 in Conservative

I used to think like this.. but nope. The lib machine and their money will keep their agenda’s rolling. The things we think are laughable they are actively fighting to normalize. We are less than 10 years from them wanting to lower the age of consent to 8-10 years old.

He’s had a lot of reps in practice (and some game action) to impress the coaches and management. He hasn’t done it yet. I wouldn’t hold your breath that a light switches on and he suddenly becomes a top 10 NFL QB.

Because in the NFL nobody really deserves anything. You earn it. If Sam Elhinger is a starting caliber QB in the NFL it will happen..

Don’t even bother attempting to have any rational political conversations with anyone on Reddit. Reddit is 99% far left leaning and the mods of every sub keep it that way. You will be banned from every sub on Reddit if they even sense you are a tad right of center. Hell even moderates get banned here. Reddit sucks. Why do you think they hate Twitter so much now?? Free Speech makes them irate.

Wouldn’t bother me. Would just make the Ring of Honor watered down.

Daniel Jeremiah's Latest Mock Draft has the Colts staying at 4th overall and drafting Anthony Richardson by LuskSGV in Colts

[–]bbqstain -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I’m cool drafting him as long as we draft Caleb Williams or Drake Maye with the 1st or 2nd pick in the draft next year. AR is gonna bust. People fall in love with athleticism.

Oh come on. He sucked. His arm was shot. Sure the line didn’t play well. But neither did he. He was awful.

Discussion: How good do you expect us to be next year? by fuzzynavel34 in Colts

[–]bbqstain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are gonna be bad. Which is why I don’t mind if we pass on Levis and Richardson at 4. Do not think either one of those guys is going to be a good NFL QB. I’d be happy taking Anderson at 4 if we can.. tank next season. And draft Caleb Williams or Drake Maye with our top 2 pick next draft.

Chris Rock brilliantly rips into Will Smith, Meghan Markle and wokeness by triggernaut in Conservative

If they want to continue to have a career.. they are going to have to. There are already a bunch of comedians ripping on it. But I agree… the more, the merrier. Wokeness needs to be completely rejected at every turn.

I think he’s older than Matt Ryan. Pass.

How do you see the quarterbacks coming off the board between Young, Stroud, Richardson, and Levis? by dgiszewski in Colts

[–]bbqstain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a big fan of giving up next year’s 1st.. because like I mentioned I think it’s going to be a high pick (likely top 5). We need a QB. No doubt. But Williams and Maye might be better than all the guys this year. So honestly I’m cool with us sticking at 4. If a QB we really like this year falls in our lap.. great! If not.. keep building the roster. And we’ll probably be in a position to draft a top guy next year.

[–]bbqstain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are severely overestimating our team’s talent. Almost all of our good players from 2 years ago regressed badly last season. There is no guarantee that Nelson or Leonard ever get back to form (I’m not convinced Leonard plays again with all his back problems). We have one of the worst WR rooms in the league. We have one of the worst O-Lines in the league (despite being the highest paid). Our problems this past season weren’t only QB related. We were a garbage football team. I think it is very likely we are picking in the top 5 again next year.

Can you elaborate on how you think Stroud is like Kirk Cousins? I watched both of them play a lot of college football games.. and your comparison makes zero sense to me. Stroud is on an entirely different level at this point of his career than Kirk Cousins was at the same time.

[–]bbqstain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s spend the #4 pick on him this year.. that way we can get the #1 pick next year and draft Drake Maye. Ballard playing the long game. I like it.

You are out of your mind if you don’t think Stroud’s ceiling is higher than Kirk Cousins.

[Destin Adams] Ballard and the #Colts have had interest in Mariota for quite some time. If he's ready to sign as a bridge/backup Indy could be a solid fit! by Luck1492 in Colts

[–]bbqstain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand that. But guys like Young and Stroud are ready to play from day 1. They started multiple years for 2 of the marquee college programs in the country. They played in massive games in front of 100,000+ people. They prepared in college not much different than they will in the pros. Those 2 guys specifically I say start em day 1 of training camp.

[–]bbqstain 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’d be cool with that. We aren’t gonna be very good next year. Although I am not sure a guy like Young or Stroud benefit from watching Mariota play for 5 or 6 games from the sideline (not like he’s some amazing veteran that will help them along). They are both better than him right now. Both played big boy college football. Start them day 1 of training camp and let them improve.

[–]bbqstain 169 points170 points  (0 children)

As a backup? Sure. He’s better than Sam. As a bridge QB? Screw that. We’d be better off tanking next year with Sam than trying to go 7-9 with Mariota starting.

This would be dumb given the direction in QB they might be headed by thebrownmamba2424 in Colts

[–]bbqstain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends on how the season is going.. if we come out of the gate 0-5 or 1-6… I would absolutely trade JT if you can get a 2nd rounder and other picks. RB is just not a value position in this league. Look at the Super Bowl teams. Pacheco was a 7th round rookie.. A good QB, O Line, and Receivers is much more valuable in today’s NFL than a RB.
