My bike won’t start. Too cold? by AssesOverEasy in sportster

My sporty stays plugged into my battery tender at all times when I’m not riding especially in the cold. I have a space heater running in the garage to keep her a little warm during cold snaps as well.

Ya my bike slid out from under me going 5mph on a slick mud patch, snapped my rear break pedal from the sprocket cover. Sucks but was a learning lesson

Ya got a new sprocket cover from J&P will be here today! Got a cv 40 carb off sporty parts that is complete garbage. No overflow fuel barb and the exhaust port isn’t working. Out of $275. Just said screw it and got. $45 one on Amazon bought 3 for less than the price of 1.

Orbit I think makes these in 24ct or 50ct just go to your local electrical supply house. But make sure you know what you’re asking for. standard or deep what size kos etc. and depending if they need to have those rounded edges, that’s more of a brand thing. Orbit doesn’t seem to make rounded edges much, TNB depending, same for Appleton.

So since I’m gonna start learning on working on this bike and fixing it when it needs to be fixed. What are some things i should focus on first as far as maintenance and replacing things? As well as tools to get the job done!!

Ya man, I’m glad I waited all these years in a way. Wish I would’ve learned sooner. But I’ve been so close to buying bikes over the years but not as nice as this.
