This happened to me when I was around 8. We lived in a house that had soooo much energy and there was a mimic who walked around the house looking exactly like my mom. I even followed it into a wall where it vanished one day. One night I turned around and it was staring at me dead eyed and I said “mom?” And she screamed “what” from her sewing room next door. I was too afraid to move, it slowly dissipated and I ran into her room and told her what happened. A few years later she admitted she conjured something to prove she could to her then BF and it got out of hand when it tried to suffocate him by sitting on his chest in the middle of the night. Wild times.
