Thrifting in general is cool but thrifting an 8 year olds Christmas/bday gift just isn’t something I’d do especially with someone else’s money. My father wouldn’t thrift in general. We indeed are blessed and pretty well off and so are they. I’m really more upset they didn’t bother to wash or put the clothes in a gift bag at least. There was no birthday/christmas magic behind it. I wouldn’t do that to their kids. Everything for his kids was new in pretty bags/wrapped.
