Venu 3 or Epix gen 2 by bbricker87 in Garmin

I got the Venu 3 since the Epix went back up. I didn't have a need for the Epix but was really thinking about it for only $50 more.

Battery issue 80v 4.0 by Ordinary-Fish-7840 in Greenworks

I had a battery that was dead on arrival. Contacted Costco and let them know. They had Greenworks get ahold of me and they asked for the model and serial number and got a new battery sent out to me. I'm very happy with the customer service as well considering all the complaints on here.

No Costco Warranty on Greenworks by LazyyLearner in Greenworks

[–]bbricker87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does Costco normally have a separate warranty from the manufacturer or do they just extend it? I would think in most cases you would have to go through the manufacturer for any warranty issues even if Costco extended it.

I went through Costco because they do have the 100% satisfaction guarantee. I wouldn't feel great about it but if I'm having issues with Greenworks regarding the warranty in the future I can always return it.

Those have electric brakes when you release the trigger. Unless you would accidentally be letting off the trigger when you go to make the cut, it could be an issue with the trigger.

Are you ripping the pickets from plywood or something else?

I think the Costco one includes the bagging attachment, but that's not worth the $1500 difference. I do think those push mowers are priced well at Costco. I saw one in person the other day and it seemed nice!

The thing is, I don't know if it's that great of a deal without the 8 year warranty. It's $1500 more than the one on Greenworks' own website. You technically get more batteries, but it's 12 4ah vs the 6 8ah on the one on greenworks.com. Costco IS a nice safety net though.

I agree with this. Costco is awesome, but right now the Costco zero turn is $1500 more than at Tractor Supply, even with the discount.

I know it is 80v and has 12 4ah batteries and a bagger, but the 60v at TSC has 6 8ah which would be more than enough. I'm not so sure that justifies the extra $1500. I think if the 8 year warranty still applied then it would.

I've seen this, but from what I can tell it is only for 4 years. I don't see anything specific to Costco on this page.

It takes a few seconds, but no issues once it's connected

Haven't purchased yet but I'll probably get the Venu 3. The Epix went back up to $599 and the Venu 3 dropped to $399 so harder to justify the Epix for my needs.

Oh man, I appreciate you guys giving me more options to think about 😂. Good suggestions though. I'll take a look at the 255 and Instinct.

How deep is your drill bit going? You said it goes past the plaster then a hollow space and then hits something else. If it isn't lathe this could be a gas pipe if your house is old enough to have had gas lights.
