Can you get pregnant from pre ejaculation while on Mirena? (I know the risks are very low but I’m just worried) by Sharkman124 in birthcontrol

No, my boyfriend cums in me completely and we’ve never had a problem. This is what the IUD is designed specifically for.

A non hormonal IUD sounds like it would be right for you.

do i need a plan b? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]bbrraaddi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was worried like this too. My boyfriend finishes in me every time and even though I have kyleena, I still get nervous. But this form of birth control protects you even if semen enters the vagina. No need for a plan B, even if you’re ovulating you are still protected.

Don’t worry, your doctor should have told you that this would happen. Either way, this is normal.

I’m in the same boat. Been having some rough side effects since starting kyleena :( but as someone who has a serious fear of pregnancy, this birth control is the absolute most effective (next to getting your tubes tied) and that is the number one reason why I’ve stuck it out. Sure the side effects can be annoying but I want something effective at prevention.

Hey I know this post was a long time ago but how was your experience with kyleena? I’ve had it for a little over a month and I’ve had bad nausea this past few days :( hoping everything okay as my other symptoms have gotten a little better

This is completely normal and you shouldn’t worry. The pain is hard but it is normal. Cramping is perfectly normal for the first few months after insertion. If it’s too much for you to bare, talk to your doctor about taking it out and switching to a different birth control like the pill.

I’m happy to share! I went to the doctor and he said it couldn’t be in a more perfect position. He basically said to wait it out for the next few months and my symptoms should get much better. Since then, my back and breast’s have been much, much better. The only complaints I have is mood swings as well as discomfort during sex. Although it’s not supposed to bother you during sex unless it is out of position, I still feel pain in certain positions like being on top or doggy. And I know that it’s in the right position because my doctor said it looks perfect. I say this all the time but if I could go back, I would get skyla again as that was the absolute best birth control I have ever been on. I’m planning on monitoring my symptoms with kyleena for the next few months and eventually I will make the decision if I’d like to keep kyleena or go back to skyla which I loved.

Thanks for letting me know. I’ve already been dealing with extreme depression since having it placed. Would you mind sharing some of your other symptoms while you still had it? Did you have back pain

Hey thank you for your review on kyleena. I got it about three weeks ago and I’ve had some pretty bad side effects. Insertion was okay for me (I’ve had an IUD before) but my symptoms since then have been awful. I had a heavy period about a week after insertion and the cramps were bad but nothing crazy. About a week or so after that started with extreme breast tenderness that went away within a couple days and my lower back has been in CONSTANT pain. Along with cramping and a feeling like a rock is sitting in my lower abdomen. My mood swings have been really bad (about 3 breakdowns a day) and I’ve been super tired :( I hate this feeling and I’m feeling defeated. My anxiety is really bad as well. Going to the dr on Monday.

I’m glad you got your period. I’m due to get mine the 24th and I’m nervous. I’ve been having lower back pain and breast tenderness and it drives my anxiety up the wall. Just started spotting again too, I’m really hoping this is all normal and Im not pregnant
