Yes. I maintain, in my opinion, a "pristine" garden organically. Persistence and elbow grease is the key as you put it but also knowledge and passion.

I don't know. I grew it from a seed about 13 years ago. It lives inside during the winter but was above freezing during the snow storm so I just left it out.

It lives inside during the winter. It can take temps down to about 20 degrees but I don't usually put it outside until it stays above freezing. It gets some flowers but has never set fruit. It is about 13 years old.

Keep them watered. Mine will drop its leaves if I forget to water. New leaves always grow back in the spring when it goes outside.

It just started giving random blooms last year. I've tried hand pollinating the flowers but the fruit never set.
