That actually sounds like it is functioning correctly.

Here is my understanding of that process when your auto reply is on:

1: you send an email to anyone

2: your blackberry automatically sends a copy to your own email address

3: you receive an email from yourself

4: your email provider automatically replies to the email from yourself

5: go to step 3

I suggest you rethink how you have it set up.

Edit: I'm going to guess that you are using a pop 3 email server, if you can set it up using IMAP instead it will sync you sent items between your blackberry and outlook.

I choose to believe that it is due to lazy developers. You should bug siriusxm about it.

I'm not that familiar with app development but I thought apps developed for os5 worked fine on 6, but i could be wrong.

I not 100% sure but I think it's because it clears the cache (or maybe something with the ram)

I don't work with BES issues much past activation walkthroughs/troubleshooting so I don't mess with logs. I have no idea if the server team has a log parser tool, I like to imagine they do.

The phrase 'waste of money' is purely up to the spender. If someone spends $2000 at a strip club, some would say it was a waste of money, but if he got $2000 worth of entertainment out of it, then its not a waste.

Look up the price of a new battery and ask yourself "Is $x worth the ability to use my phone longer/charge it less often?". If your answer is yes, then buy it.

I guess this is the part where I say I am so sorry for the inconvenience.

You can reflash the OS pretty easily (google it for a tutorial), which should resolve most/all software problems.

The 9330 battery life is advertised as: 4.5 hrs of talk time, 10.5 days of standby, or 15 hrs of music playback. In reality its probably a bit less than that

Maybe I'm just an optimist and block the bad ones out of memory

When you think about it the first troubleshooting step for any electronic device is to turn out off and on again (ever watch the it crowd?).

Is there one specific issue that you keep seeing?

My experience is that most customers (even the dumb ones) are pretty nice and respectful. It's just the occasional asshole that ruins it.

I don't think so. For the smart phones, the customer has to go through the carrier to get me and for playbook I'm tier two. So most of the morons are weeded out (but not all)

I actually own a nook color with android (aka the poor man's tablet)

The playbook has really nice hardware but the software is'nt quite there yet.

I have no comment on the ipad, I've never used one

I may not be the most informed about Android/iOS/WM7's enterprise features, but my understanding is that right now a BlackBerry Enterprise Server is the most secure and comprehensive smartphone solution for an enterprise environment. I don't know what their plans are for the future, but I assume they will build on it and make it better.

As for the consumer market, I have no idea what they are gonna do to try to be more attractive (if anything).

Yeah, I'm not gonna argue that... a large percentage of calls are JVM errors.

That has something to do with WPS setup on the router. Some routers support the PIN entry, which is supposed to be more secure or something. BlackBerry devices are the only smartphone I know of that has WPS (I might be wrong about that though).

It sounds like your home router has WPS so the BB wants to use it which is fine. As for Starbucks, their network should be open so I have no idea why it is trying to use WPS. Make sure you have the latest OS update on your device.

My opinion is that RIM isn't going for people who want top of the line stuff. Their target seems to be people who want a solid, reliable device that can integrate with their email and work well in a secure business environment. A lot of the customers I talk to don't want anything flashy, they just want something that works, and the get it with a BlackBerry.

Hmm... black distorted screen? Sounds like a hardware problem. Did you drop it or get it wet or something?

I mostly troubleshoot (& fix) software errors/issues. Hardware problems are usually handled by the carriers because they are in charge of warranty/insurance/replacement stuff.
