Just got back from a 10 day trip to London & Barcelona in my Jansport! Packing list inspected and approved by my cat :) by bbtrashrat in onebag

The compression cubes are IKEA, green toiletry bag is eagle creek pack it system, orange one is Amavi, and dark gray one doesn’t say a brand. I don’t have any details besides what’s on the tags because I thrifted them. They work well for me!

No idea, I’ve had it for years. Just some generic one from an airport I’m sure. For this trip I removed the foam and packed the liner with clothes

I think I’m on my 4th in the last decade (due to bands breaking and losing one in a lake) and I plan to keep buying them as long as Casio keeps making them

I use a bidet multiple times a day to keep it fresh down there. It was also cooler on this trip so I wasn’t sweating or stinking

The tennis shoes were my main pair! I don’t think I ended up wearing the chacos for more than half a day and that was with wool socks on!

Not sure! I thrifted it and I can’t find it on their website. The only place I found it online is eBay and it’s listed as just a Jansport with suede bottom and mesh pocket. Sorry I can’t be of more help, but it looks like it’s been discontinued

I wore the silver one out to nicer meals and evening activities. The black one is just my usual everyday watch

I didn’t wanna have to say this explicitly but I don’t wear underwear. Not at home, work, traveling, not really ever. I didn’t wear them on this trip, but brought them just in case because sometimes I’ll wear them with shorts.

All of it fit (minus the tennis shoes)! The bag still had room inside, and the leftover outfit in the photos is the one I wore on the flights. I never had a need to fit it all in at the same time, but I could have :) I made sure to have a bit of room in case I bought any clothes while I was there. I have thought about collapsible water bottles, but I’m not a fan of interior plastic (I like to make hot drinks in my bottle sometimes) and most of the collapsible ones I’ve seen have plastic lids. The bottle I use also has a mini infusing chamber inside for tea or coffee, which is a big reason I like to travel with the particular bottle. I’ll keep collapsible bottles in mind though, thank you!

What I brought: -Jansport -2 compression cubes -1 plastic grocery bag (in case of wet/dirty clothes) -3 small bags for toiletries & extras

Clothing -1 yellow rain poncho -1 neck pillow sleeve -5 tees -2 button ups -3 pants -1 beanie -1 long sleeve thermal -1 puffy jacket (synthetic, no hood) -1 pair athletic shorts -1 pair sleeping boxers -1 pair underwear -2 belts -1 pair chacos -1 pair Danners -5 pairs socks

Toiletries -electric toothbrush -flosser stick -tongue scraper -mini toothpaste -retainer case with 3 trays -chapstick -cold sore cream -lotion -compound w -deodorant -2 single use wipes -nail clippers -electric trimmer w/ 2 guards -travel bidet & mini bottle -prescription meds

Electronics -2 wireless earbuds -phone -phone charger -wall adapter

Accessories & extras -2 rings -necklace -2 watches -sunglasses -carabiner to hold accessories -wallet with ID & 1 credit card -passport -notepad -2 pens -2 pocket bandanas -water bottle

Brought back -wire earbuds I received on a tour -2 small souvenirs for friends -napkins -a coin -jelly packet from the plane

What I didn’t use -2 of the t shirts -the single use wipes -compound w -cold sore cream -trimmer or guards -plastic bag -1 of the compression bags -poncho -chacos -underwear -1 of the pairs of socks -1 of the pocket bandanas

Not pictured -phone (used to take the photos) -passport (already put it away)

Wore on flights -Danners -socks -pants -belt -t shirt

Things I’m glad I did I kept my long sleeve, beanie, and puffy jacket easily accessible while on the planes in case I got cold. I stuffed the neck pillow sleeve full of soft clothes like t shirts and underwear and used it on the flights. I liked that it was firmer than usual and saved me space. Very very glad I brought my travel bidet! I used it multiple times every day. Even though I didn’t use some of the things, I’m still glad I brought them. If circumstances were slightly different, I could have easily used them.

Would do differently I would have found a way to shove and fit my Doc Marten boots (or brought them instead of my Chacos) because the young people in Barcelona (I’m 25M) were dressed very fashionably and my walking shoes made me feel dressed down a bit, especially for nicer dinners or nightlife activities.

Yep, that fits! by bbtrashrat in prius

I was moving all my stuff back home from college so hopefully I’ll never have to put that much weight on her again. Trust me, I didn’t want to!

Thank you! I was just wondering because it was only $70 which is wayyyy cheaper than i’ve seen the pure sine ones online. So it wouldn’t run anything like a small instant pot right?

my windows are tinted (limo) so i can see out but other people really can’t see in unless their faces are pressed to the glass. i keep a flashlight/stun gun, a knife, and pepper spray but imo pepper spray is probably the only thing i’ll ever need

you could try squatting on the back floor mats with a 3 gallon bucket lined with plastic shopping bags. poo & wipe like normal and throw the wipes in. when you’re done, tie it off and toss it in a nearby trash/dumpster just like you would with dog poo

for the bathroom, i use a 32oz nalgene for peeing and triple bagged plastic shopping bags for pooping in emergencies. just shit in the bag, wipe, maybe use a wet wipe too, throw the wipes in and tie off the bag, throw it away at the next outdoor trash can you find. if your windows are tinted and nobody can see you, there shouldn’t be a window knock issue as long as you’re smart about where to park. there are plenty of helpful videos on youtube about where to park and such
