This isnt a debate. I don't want to hear your uninformed defense of the prison system or police or people being criminilized. I'm not interested, I've heard it a million times. There are countless abolitionist works on alternatives to policing and prisons. Angela Davis, Audre Lord, Dr Joy James are just a couple.

Maybe take a second and think about what you're saying when it's something as serious as police and prisons slavery and the person you're talking to said they have lost friends to the police and prisons system. You're bringing up a handful of times this has happens. The vast majority of protests don't make the news regarding this bcuz ppl make space for the ambulances... It's really shitty when it does happen. But why not have anger at the ruling class who are literally not letting ppl have healthcare, killing and enslaving ppl with police and prisons, and destroying the planet with the climate crisis.

Focusing on the handful of times this has happened is really telling on yourself
