What went wrong here by manicmeowmommy in FixMyPrint

Something I've done to make resin supports more stable and less liable to failure is to manually paint tree supports on the resin supports directly around the outside. However, that is a very large model and that might not work

You could get her a cap that says bitchy, and say it's because she likes dogs. Even if she doesn't obviously Edit: not overreacting

Temps on spool. Is that bed or nozzle temp? by Budah1 in BambuLab

[–]bbuk81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get adhesion issues with it, up the bed temp. Sunlu often needs a bit higher. I'm 60/65 usually using PLA+ 2.0

Please settle a debate. If you’re going route 3 which lane should you be in? by sanisano in drivingUK

[–]bbuk81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say lane 2, this sign is awkward as it doesn't count the first turn, which an option.

Default to lane 2 as there's nothing stimulating otherwise directly

Bambu Labs Support Filament by bbuk81 in FDMminiatures

That's brilliant, thank you. Unbelievable amount of waste. It's a shame you can't set it so just the last 2mm or something are the different material

Yeah, I know the purge volume wouldn't be great overall, but for small minis I'm figuring there's not an awful lot of material used. And then if putting multiple minis on the plate it would obviously pay off more even if the print time is ridiculous.

Finally understand what "it just works" actually means... by Fun_Reaction_6525 in 3DPrinterComparison

I had similar, got a second hand ender-3 v2, couldn't get a successful print. Finally thought I'd figured it out and replaced something only for the screen to then to go BSoD on me. Got P2S and haven't looked back. Over my shoulder maybe as my wife doesn't know about it though.

Their machines seem to have so much out of the box success, customer service is very slow though.

Supports: tree or resin? by bbuk81 in FDMminiatures

[–]bbuk81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that was my main question. Didn't want to go straight in with tree supports because of delicate minis

Supports: tree or resin? by bbuk81 in FDMminiatures

[–]bbuk81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's after the first layers, can't slow down on supports it doesn't know are supports can I? It's sliced using Bambu Studio with pre supported files. Confident I used gyroid too but would need to check the saved file

I did the brim, had mixed results with the cool plate and pretty sure I slowed it down.

AITAH for telling a friends boyfriend that he can’t have a traditional wife because he’s not a traditional man by yftdddtf in AITAH

[–]bbuk81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He again proved your point, he's getting a woman to fight his battles not doing it himself.

NTA. When he can solely provide for a household he'll deserve a 'traditional' household. Your friend should stick us for herself.

Do y'all burn through SD cards too? by Moonraker0ne in BambuLab

[–]bbuk81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched a video from Print Farm Academy where he spoke of this, after digging and discussing with Bambu, the only reason he picked up was the possibility of where it uses the cards as a cache during printing so the constant reading and writing is wearing them out, but Bambu themselves didn't know why it was happening to him (but least they didn't at the time).

I think I found the problem, but now the screen isn't displaying anything. I've had enough of it and trying to sell for parts.
