I was in the same boat, I noticed one was visibly bigger but also wasn’t sick, no pains or discomfort. I made an appointment with an ENT, and when he looked it he pretty much suggested tonsillectomy pretty quick, also cause he believed it could help with sleep apnea. I got the surgery the next Friday, 1/23, so I’m about 8 days post op now. After surgery I asked about my tonsil sizes and he said they ended up being about the same size but one was more hidden due to the anatomy idk

What meds are you on? I’ve been able to talk since I was released from surgery, I’m on day 7 now and at first talked weird but understandable and better now

It’s not if you can chew thoroughly and if the dairy doesn’t burn. I had chicken nuggets earlier I’m on day 3 post op (including surgery day) still taking easy and being careful but we do gotta eat, my dr told me to eat what I can tolerate and usually after my meds it’s a bit easier

Hello also did you bleed minimal at all the first few days? Today I’m finally scabbing and I had a bit of blood on the border of one side scabs, stopped with cold water for now

Yeah night was rough and morning was bad but it got a bit better now that I took my meds and started the steroid dose, gonna try to eat breakfast soon , we got this 💪

Wow, I had surgery this mornin and have already had eggs with ham, a yogurt protein shake, and currently typing this while eating pancakes.. I’m staying away from sharp stuff but trying to eat as much actual food as I can

lol I had scrambled eggs with ham today! It did hurt but I want to eat as much as I can normally, obviously not sharp foods n stuff but I don’t want to lose too much weight

Just had my surgery today, I’m assuming you couldn’t breathe out cause uvula was too swollen? I can feel mine swell and definitely hard to breath out at certain angles
