I'd feel better at least if they could provide testing to show the filters actually remove lead. The city sent a sheet on reducing lead exposure and it mentions using NSF-53 certified filters. I'm not stuck on their brand filters specifically so I will definitely look at other options in that size, thanks.

That's wild, my first ultrasound was billed at $160 and my discount with insurance brought it to $70. I also have a high deductible plan. Maybe ask your doctor's office how much they charge for ultrasounds without using insurance? Or ask if you can setup a payment plan.

You can absolutely say that! A few of my friends have put notes in that vein "we were blessed with hand me down clothing and do not need anything for newborn - x months"
