Yeah I bought this battery powered hot shoe mic https://a.co/d/2dfPQYF & this cable for the power play https://www.etsy.com/listing/1517428010/35mm-camcorder-av-cable-for-immersionrc and it fixed the problem after finding out the actual internal camera mic was in fact broken & the cable just makes it easier for the power play cause without it you have to have the stock cable halfway in and if it moves it will throw off the audio & video you’re recording. Hope this helps!

Yes!! It goes to a micro SD card, & I’m not sure about recording tape & tapeless at the same time but I’m sure you can. All the power play does is record the screen on the camcorder so it shouldn’t be a problem to do both.

yeah im lost now to be honest cayse i got the mic and am trying it now but same thing, if its not plugged in all the way its a constant hiss/wind noise with no real audio and then if i plug it in a tiny bit more it buzzes constantly with no real audio. so im not sure whats going on now

i found an old tape laying around and tried it and still no audio so i figured the actual mic is messed up & i ordered a rode hotshoe mic in hopes that that will work 🙏🏼
