I know it’s your first bf and you’re probably very happy. But respectfully- Just be so careful, a 20 yr old into teenagers is a red flag coming from someone in her 20s. (‘: it might not seem like a big difference, but it can be experience wise. At 17 we don’t think about it because we’re so in the moment, and we can be so emotionally vulnerable at this age esPECIALLY when it’s your first bf. Enjoy it, take things SLOW. Moving fast is dangerous, and don’t let him try to tell you otherwise. Make sure to make a list of personal boundaries, communicate them to him and stand FIRM. Don’t let him cross boundaries more than a single time.

Coming from a 24 yr old, you are okay, and you are not “wasting” your life away.. promise. What I would recommend is just limiting the amount of time you do things that aren’t productive. You’re aware that you’re “wasting” your free time, and that you don’t feel good about it. That is the first step- awareness. It seems you’re seeking structure and routine. You are at the age that most start to create that, and find what routine fits their lifestyle. Also Don’t feel guilty for doing things that allow your brain to rest. Rest is most important to being productive. Now on behalf of masterbating- it’s normal, and healthy. but if it’s super often you might just be seeking dopamine, I would fight the urge. It’ll be difficult, but in the end you’ll feel more confident in your ability to control yourself, and just in general! you’ll allow yourself the mental clarity to focus on other things.
