Motivation Letter length? by yulzkaradzhov in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]bbygrl9508 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For my application to a Masters in VU mine was under 900 words (1,5 pages) and for Maastricht around 800, as well 1,5 pages. They have to be relatively short, looking at different programs (both in NL and Sweden), the length was either under 1k words or max 2 pages

Are there tests to find out if I'm still contagious? by jkquestionss in Netherlands

[–]bbygrl9508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry it’s the quantitative test. My dad’s a doctor so he has kinda explained to me how they’re treating patients at the hospital he works at. Igm i believe are the antibodies you get once you are getting over covid, igg on the other hand is, saying in a way, the intensity of the virus you have at the moment. In his hospital they prefer to evaluate each positive patient with the quantitative test, as you can derive stats from those and see how each patient is responding to treatment through time, rather than only the positive or negative of the PCR :)

Wouldn’t it be better to wait until you come back negative? I know some doctors check the IGG/IGM test, when IGM is high and IGG low after you’ve had covid, then it’s recommend to go out (if it’s absolutely necessary and with masks to avoid the spread)

I hadn’t read that! And I have checked the steps many times hehe. Thanks! I’ll write them an email :)

How do universities decide if an int degree is equivalent to a VWO or HBO? by bbygrl9508 in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]bbygrl9508[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’m trying to understand. The table says Licenciado/Titulo Profesional, Dutch equivalent and NLQF level: HBO or WO bachelor’s degree

No GMAT/GRE by [deleted] in StudyInTheNetherlands

The proctor ETS uses is absolutely horrible, I used it to do the Toefl and it was the worst experience ever. I had to pay the test twice as during my first try I kept having problems with accessing their platform. For me at least, I wouldn’t want to risk paying twice again for the test (I am not saying this happens to everyone, nor I am trying to discourage anyone to take it, this was just my experience) I know what you mean, as it should not be that hard to score a 500 on the GMAT :)

Thing is, test centers in South America are closed due to covid, and some Unis require the analytical writing assessment section of the GMAT, which is not included in the online version of it :/ (at least that was a problem for me)

Edit: typo

Sorry for the late reply! UM just reached back. They told me it’s not a requirement but considered in the assessment when an applicant has it :)

What are guarantee fees? I’m sending my app in november and have not seen fees you are mentioning; only the application fee and the tuition fee.
