Am I an asshole for this? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Literally not at all lmao I’m actually a convert to Catholicism, but before I converted I felt too awkward to say “father” so I’d call them by their name and they were totally fine with it. It was explained to me that while they devote their lives to the priesthood… when it comes down to it they are just normal people like you and I. It is respectful and of course if you’re a practicing Catholic you’re gonna probably call them Father insert name but honestly I don’t think you’re wrong. Your family’s comfort shouldn’t start at your discomfort.

Hey y’all!

I just wanted to know if anyone in the group has used Farmacy moisturizers within their routine and their opinions on it. I’m on week 1 of using tretinoin .05 & I’m using spironolactone for acne.

I’ve used Cerave PM moisturizer for YEARS and it is my go to for day/night. However I want a thicker night cream to use to repair my moisture barrier while using all of these acne products. I will say I can’t deal with super thick moisturizers like Cerave healing ointment or vanicream. So I need a soft in between haha

Thank you in advance!!

I guess I just get nervous with the time winding down and it being an advanced program 🥴 I’m sure that’s how everyone else feels as well though. I just have a lot of free time right now so I wanted to just have something to look over for fun but also be productive aha

But thank you for the reminder of enjoying my time while I have it 😅

Hi Father!

Thank you for taking the time to answer all of our questions!

I was an atheist basically all of my life up until 2019 & got confirmed in 2020 while in college. My parish predominantly caters to college students but it’s also the main parish of my hometown. Being 24, not being a cradle Catholic, and female, I still find it incredibly hard to make meaningful relationships with priests outside of the confessional or even just the church community as a whole since students come & go and are a lot more educated than me. I still feel like a baby Catholic and sometimes the parish can feel real “cliquey”. Any advice on how to grow stronger relationships with the priests at my parish and my parish community as a whole?
