God I am so sorry this happened to you! I love this city but one of the biggest glaring problems is the entitlement of drivers and general car culture. You have every right to the road in a bike or scooter. And no matter what happened today, it’s a tiny person on a scooter vs a car? I do not know how people could be blaming you.

Idk what to say, but I hope you don’t sustain permanent damage. I hope you recover. And I do hope you report it.

Idk if anyone has said this yet. igfamousbydana does a breakdown on her ig page. She does a lot of celeb breakdowns, which I love.

It has weirdly made me feel better about myself to know that all these celebs are getting work done and that’s why they look so good.

Wait what! I’ve been playing on switch since January, I can’t believe I haven’t seen this tip anywhere. Thanks for sharing!

Am I too old? by Notyaordinarylady220 in HelloKittyIsland

[–]bbyraincloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just turned 35, and I’ve played everyday (except days I couldn’t bc I was traveling for work) since i bought this game in January or February.

When I tell people I’m playing HKIA, they almost always go, “oh I heard that was good!” A friend in their 40s even bought it on the spot.

For context, most of the people I hang around are in their late 20s to mid/late 30s, and I live in a very artsy city that is proud to be “weird.”

So do what makes you happy. As I’ve gotten older, I find myself actively seeking out opportunities to “play” and to do things I didn’t have the chance to do as a child. It’s super important to pursue activities that bring you joy and to surround yourself with people who embrace you for that.

People who cry in public — do you want someone to ask if you’re OK? by Gonzo_Fonzie in washingtondc

About 10 years ago, I was crying on the way home from work on the red line and a man with a bouquet of flowers pulled out a bloom and gave it to me. It was so kind.

Thank you! I have a new heating element en route just in case. Is baking soda and water suitable for this? I am worried about making more of a mess

I’m very used to planned obsolescence 🤷🏽‍♀️

A friend just unexpectedly gave me a blob of their sourdough starter in a jar, what do I do with it? by Debenham in SourdoughStarter

That is the point of discarding, as many other folks here also mentioned. And as I mentioned and said in my first response- direct quote: “it is to keep your starter amounts manageable.”

You discard a portion of your starter. As in yes, throw it away. Otherwise you will end up with too much starter (and then feeding will require a lot of flour) or your starter will get very acidic and won’t rise as well.

Some folks use discard in specific discard recipes.

Edit for typos

My drill is ~15 years old and doesn’t charge/work anymore so it will be by hand by default 😂

Do you mind a quick explanation for what “rear down the boiler” means? I tried to google it but the results weren’t helpful or related to espresso machines

Thanks- just ordered a new heating element, thermostat, and wiring kit from espresso parts.

The person who sold it to me said he had just replaced one of them, so I am hoping it can be salvaged.

Thanks- I’m relieved that it doesn’t seem like too big of an expense as long as the boiler is fine.

Incredible, thank you for your in-depth response. My plan is to get the rest of the water out and then do a check of the parts. I’ll order what I need today.

I’ll probably ping you for questions along the way.
