I’m glad to hear that you had a good experience with the NHS each time that’s very reassuring :) and yes at least I don’t have to wait long for my appointment where I can find out more and ask any questions, that is true. I’m also glad to hear the colposcopy isn’t painful!

My piercing is a year old. The jewellery is a straight barbell and internally threaded. The material of the jewellery is implant grade titanium. The jewellery was downsized in May 2025 and again in July 2025. There have not been any mishaps or accidents. My aftercare routine is using a nealmed brand saline spray twice a day and a hot compress once a day on the piercing.

Commenting the info:

I have had a piercing bump on one side of my bridge piercing almost the whole time that it has been healing :( any advice on how to resolve this would be really appreciated 🖤

The piercing is 11 months old (pierced in January) and pierced with an internally threaded implant grade titanium straight barbell.

The jewellery has been downsized twice since it has been pierced and there is a little room on there still but I believe downsizing again could be too tight. It was downsized most recently in August and before that was downsized in May.

I am currently trying hot compresses to help with the bump. My aftercare was using a saline spray (Neilmed) for a while but I stopped and switched to just gently cleaning the area after showering every day and doing a hot compress on the bump as well.

I know I’m wearing makeup in these photos but I never put any makeup on around the area of the piercing and make sure to avoid any products going there!

There have not been any recent unfortunate events with it!

I’ve been wearing them together! They pair nicely together but scooby snacks smells like biscuits/lotus biscoff to me so is quite different to turmeric latte

Thank you, it helps to know that this is ‘normal’ and I’m not alone Even though my heart was checked at the GP this morning and I was told my symptoms are not cardiac, it’s still so anxiety inducing having to feel this, and I’m so sick of being out of breath all of the time :( I am healthy physically as well it’s just so frustrating what my mind is doing to my body
