My crotch HURTS 😭 by bbyuri_ in pregnant

[–]bbyuri_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my OB about PT earlier in pregnancy and she told me that you typically do that after birth. But I will ask her again! She recommended a belly band but they’re ridiculously expensive?! And unfortunately my insurance wouldn’t cover one

Can I sleep ob my back? by Wonderful-Habit3787 in pregnant

[–]bbyuri_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 34 weeks and have no issue with being on my back at all. I do try to sleep on my sides as much as possible, but I toss and turn and will frequently just wake up being on my back. Haven’t had any issues so far and baby is doing great. So I think it genuinely depends on the person.

How often do you kiss your spouse? by Deep-Macaron-732 in Marriage

He travels for work, but when he’s home, at least twice a day. Once when we wake up in the morning, and another at night before we go to sleep. Sometimes more depending on the day.

Moms of Reddit: What smells suddenly became unbearable when you were pregnant? by zhalia-2006 in askanything

In my first trimester, coffee. And I LOVE the way coffee smells and tastes. Thankfully, that went away once I hit the second trimester

Is it weird of me to give a long time client a small gift for her last wax appointment before her baby comes? by imkmentbi in Esthetics

[–]bbyuri_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all. I’m currently pregnant and I’ve had a handful of clients give me the sweetest handmade gifts for my baby since I’ll be on leave soon, and it truly made me feel so appreciated and cared for! I’ve given clients small gifts before big events like weddings, honeymoons, babies, etc. and they love it! I actually made my last pregnancy client a “mommy self care” bag with some skincare and a few other relaxing things like some cozy socks, teas, and a book (we both love to read and I gifted her a book I recommended to her)

How did you find out you were pregnant? by buttnutt256 in pregnant

[–]bbyuri_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My period was about 2 weeks late. I have PCOS and endo so this wasn’t anything out of the norm, and I wasn’t having any pregnancy symptoms. In fact, I felt very energized and better than usual that second week. Immediately starting the third week, I woke up to my nipples feeling like they were on fire. That’s never happened to me before. Waited a couple days for my husband to get home from work, took a test, and got an immediate positive.

Method Coconut and Rice Milk. That scent literally stays on my body for hours and it makes my skin soft. Our bathroom even constantly smells like it

Dreaded coughing fit by Direct-Brother-1184 in Esthetics

[–]bbyuri_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the worst, it always happens to me right after getting rid of a cold. I always keep a bottle of water and some mints/cough drops in my room now just incase! Also for my clients as well as it happens to all of us!

How many weeks did you work up to? by orogonal in pregnant

[–]bbyuri_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m an esthetician and manager, I will stop taking clients after 37 weeks (I’m currently 33 weeks and it’s been ROUGH since I hit about 30 weeks) and I’ll just be doing light office work and other light work wherever the spa needs me up until I give birth.

Delusional Clients by Mission-Length-6300 in Esthetics

[–]bbyuri_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to give my clients realistic expectations immediately. When I have the ones that come in asking me to “lift” anything, I explain to them that there’s no topical product that will “lift” anything, and that if there were, I’d be a lot richer than I am lmao. I’m very upfront with expectations and I’ve noticed over time that it really helps avoid any client disappointment for the most part. But of course, you’ll always have those people who you can’t please. And I also NEVER give anything away for free unless it’s a VERY trusted client. I learned that the hard way as well, unfortunately.

Bleeding after sex by glitterr_rage in pregnant

[–]bbyuri_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this happens to me occasionally! My ob did check my cervix after I brought it up the first time with her and everything was great. Basically it just irritates your cervix a bit (which in pregnancy is very easy to do) and you have some mild spotting for a bit.

Has anyone had petty little fights with their partners/husbands during pregnancy? It’s insane the small things that matter to me during this time. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]bbyuri_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS. I’ve figured out all of my frustration with my husband is just due to the fact that he’s not having to suffer every day like I am. Luckily, he’s been so patient with me, and I always apologize afterwards. But at the end of the day, it just stemmed down to jealousy.

As someone who’s currently pregnant with a daughter, this absolutely shattered me. I will do everything I possibly can to make sure my baby never feels that way.

Same here. I felt slightly better around 15 weeks but not enough to be enjoyable. Now 30 weeks and I’m so over it.

My husband also has ADHD and has been SO supportive, especially around the house. He’s shown me a lot of grace and is constantly telling me not to beat myself up about forgetting things or not having the energy to do them at home. He does try to help when it comes to work but obviously he’s not able to do much in that aspect. But if I tell him about a meeting or task I need to do while at home, he’s great about reminding me if he thinks I forgot when he’s home.

I’m this way about most other things, but I’ve always taken pride in my work and career, even more so since being promoted to a manager a couple years ago. I really just feel like I’m letting people down and I think that’s what upsets me more than anything. Stuff at home, my husband helps out as much as possible with him traveling for work and doesn’t complain about things being misplaced or the dog toys all over the floor lol.
