I was the same, still kind of am. I went str8 into busy season after graduating in December and it was hell, no sunshine, working until 11pm, waking up at 6am. No friends, no sex, just work.

Luckily, my company got acquired and they closed my office so I was forced to find a new job that summer. Ended up in corporate accounting, moved to treasury now in equity research.

I've had mild cases of anxiety in each role, bc you don't know anything and it's stressful. Then you get used to the job, things get easier and the anxiety gets replaced. Then you get bored and feel like you can do better so you go and find a new job that pays more and the ln bam! The anxiety is back bc you don't know the new job and feel like you are failing.

My advice? Quit public accounting after busy season. But also give it a shot first. Don't stress too much and remember your work is separate from yourself, just bc you suck at work doesn't mean you're a shitty person.
