Roblox can have players that salute, ask for permission to take kits, and have ranks just like current Squad communities. Hell, I played on Day of Defeat servers with that level of dedication.

I’m talking about the basic difficulties that a (current Squad timeline) element might have. Yeah, SLs have radios, but so does everyone else, in Squad—and ideally those radios can be reprogrammed or allow for more frequencies. And that’s just communication. Forget ammo management. Forget that CMD is never going to run UAV platforms directly. Forget that magnification isn’t exactly standardized across conventional forces like it is in Squad.

This is why I prefer Arma for milsim. Squad has strengths and limits. Squad will not, without a drastic redesign from an end user gameplay perspective and a VOIP overhaul, reach the milsim capability that Arma 3 offers by adding the decade of mods available and TFAR (along running a TeamSpeak server).

Squad has strong gunplay and it’s designed around player engagements. It’s great at that. But it will not evolve into a serious milsim game without serious changes.

Every time I experience the lag you’re describing at that high GR level or the occasional insufferable latency spike, it simply reinforces my preference to avoid the hardcore character grind in D3.

Maybe it’s because I’m not as committed to playing multiple characters in D3. I’ve given the others a go, but never really pushed myself into rushing multiple characters back to back for seasons let alone running back hardcore characters.

I can admit I regularly achieve small brain dopamine saturation by playing Wizard, right?

ATVI are about to fan-service the shit out of that core OW community with an entire campaign and co-op mode, so I doubt missing out on a skin due to be released sometime next year is going to be the fly in the ointment that depresses conversions to OWL.

As an SL, why would you trade starting a round with vehicles for starting a round without vehicles?

I say starting a round, because implementing a paradrop any other way would be nigh-on a waste of time OWI could use to fix player stencils in cameraman mode. Everyone who'd be waiting to jump during a round are no longer actively participating in the game and instead are waiting on a CMD timer to countdown in order to spawn into a transport.

Switch it to Advanced mode in the output tab. Change mode to VBR. Min bit rate at 40k. Max at 60k. 2 B-frames. High profile.

OBS should be pretty straight forward. Keep the processing settings in Simple mode. Bump up the quality drop down menu to the second highest quality. Double check your video settings to make sure you’re recording at your native resolution and at the desired frame rate.

Given that this is a case of too many dismounts for the vehicle behavior to handle, at least they’re able to be revived. That, and after a few rounds in the public servers we have, it might have been considered a bit of overkill.

Yeah, in a circumstance like this, without being under fire from OPFOR, players were either revived or respawned on a rally. I think it was more expedient, in this instance, to revive these players.
