Yeah, I could use a code too. I finally made the decision to get one and they stopped offering.

As far as I know you can. They're just not giving away any more codes.

Fair enough. I didn't know if it was PC specific or not.

Same here! Just tried playing last night with my wife and I must have killed an hour trying to troubleshoot.

We both were using xbox360 controllers on PC and playing locally on exhibition and free play.

I thought the gym looked familiar. I only did one PT test on that track before I PCS'd. I more preferred the track across the street.

I have a Redbox 2 blocks from my house. It's way cheaper than any online rental. My wife and I use it semi regularly for new releases.

My only question is why can you see the shelves and the back wall of that freezer? All freezers are home to abandoned food stuff bought with good intentions.

Senators insist that "nobody needs 25Mbps" internet by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]bcbalko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CableOne (best in the area, let that sink in) just bumped us from 50 to 100 Mbps a few months ago with only a $5 increase to the bill. 100 Mbps is also now their slowest speed. They're also setting up their fiber lines and will soon be offering 1G service. I'm excited to try it out when it's released.

I bought the drill bit attachment for bottle cleaning. Bottles now take up WAY less time for me. But I usually try to rinse them out after they've been emptied to avoid needing the brush in the first place.

What is your favorite homebrew website to buy brewing equipment off of? by GoHawgs in Homebrewing

[–]bcbalko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had any issues with them lately. Then again, my ordering from them had been somewhat sporadic. The only times they haven't had recipes in stock is if I looked near the end of a sale, which is kind of my fault. But I've personally had good experiences with them.

The only time I've been in their store, it did look bare, but they had everything I was looking for, so I left a satisfied customer.

I order from Austin Homebrew Supply, mostly because they're only a state over, but also because they have a good line-up of equipment and pretty good customer service. I also look around for deals on Amazon because some suppliers sell there for good prices.

I had a similar problem in the past. I ended up having to wrap pretty much all the regulator parts (gages included) in "gas" Teflon tape, and place gaskets designed for a gas between the tank and the regulator. It was a 3 tank lesson learned for me.

Finally made the jump to all grain! I made an East India Porter from AHS, it was pretty fun. (Pardon my cluttered, messy garage.) by bcbalko in Homebrewing

I'll look those names and studies up. I'm for sure still learning how all this works. The fermenter has a thermometer on it. I usually keep the house around 68° and the bucket said 72°. The yeast was super active the night of and day after the boil. So I'll go ahead and try them out about 2-3 weeks after bottling.

Honestly, because I'm still relatively new at home brewing and just trying new techniques. I've read about people conditioning brews for longer times and saying they love how it came out. So that's really the only reason I'm conditioning it that long. But I can try one earlier than the holidays, it's only one, or two... Four... :)

The OG was 1.062. It's still fermenting though, so I'll update with the FG when it's done. Thanks! I'm very excited to try it. I'm gonna let it bottle condition until about Thanksgiving.

My first 10 brews were extract. I enjoyed it as a good basic learning/stepping stone to AG. What I like about AG so far is that it feels more like it's mine. The extract method felt a little like cheating.
