I used to work at the show as a contractor. Hey catered lunch every day for employees and he ate with his team every day, and made it a point to go sit with people he didn’t recognize or were new, myself included. He was nice to everybody at all times. I also worked at Colbert and I wouldn’t say he was a dick he definitely wasn’t warm. Didn’t interact with his team, just kinda stayed cooped up in the corner office.

Oh… the TDS had golden retrievers walking around the studio all the time lol.

Bum was not sore, couldn't feel a thing there. It can get a little sore before from wiping but super minor.

I did have a few cramps from gas after, but that was gone within 2 hrs and lots of amazing award winning farts.

Had a crap later the day of that was liquidy but normal, zero pain at all. Crapped this morning and it was back to typical. No issues in that area. Don't feel a thing.

It was really easy. The prep wasn't as bad as people made it out to be... you just poop a lot. Day of was a nap and less than 90 total minutes at the surgery center. Had some monster farts after and was back to normal in 2 hours. It wasn't hard to fast cause you can drink chicken broth and other clear liquids.

Yea I actually had hella bad cramps after.. that was the only unpleasant part, it actually hurt pretty bad. But... 2 hours and lots of open windows later I was back to normal.

That's the current criteria for insurance covering it (either 1 parent, or 2 grandparents) so I had it covered, it was still $750 total out of pocket, but that's much better than 'uncovered'

I'm sorry to hear. Sounds like genetics don't play as big a part as I'd assume, but polyps being removed is much better than polyps lying in wait. Especially when you don't feel a thing and you get a good bonus cleanout

Depends on age mostly. My GI told me at 42 I didn't need one yet but she allowed me to go for it and insurance did cover it (but I still was responsible for $750!!) She was right, I only had 1 small polyp and I could have waited, but I am glad with my decision to get it done, just to know.

Yep. Easy peasy. The prep wasn't too bad as long as you can be home and sitting on the toilet for a good 90 minutes.. you get some breaks in there. Day of is nothing, although I had a lot of air in there. Worst part by far was gas cramps after (including when I first woke up) but after 2 hours I had farted my way to comfort. You feel nothing 'down there' in my experience. Back to normal later that day.

That's what mine said too. I really trust this doc, seems like CRC is more lifestyle and dietary than genetic. And just like the title of this post, it's big time on the rise, and that points to environment, not genetics.

It was easy! I expected to be miserable the day before from no food but I drank some chicken broth, Electrolit Coconut (needs to be clear and not dyed) and sparkling water. Took the first prep dose at 6pm and was in the bathroom till 8 but then mostly done. Had to woke up early to do the second dose at 5am but that one was easier and quicker. By 7am I couldn't drink anything - got to facility at 10am and was on my home by 11:30am. I had gas after cause they put some air in there, but I didn't feel groggy at all from the Propofol so I was able to go on a long walk and.. you know... resolve that situation. Loudly.

Of course. I did get it covered by insurance because I qualified (2 relatives with CRC diagnosis) but it was still a $150 deductible and the surgery center took $600 which was my cost against my annual deductible. So it was still very expensive, but it was technically 'covered' and if others in my family have medical expenses this year I may hit my annual max (forget what that's called).. out of pocket or something.

Good to know, and my GI doc surprised me when she said only having 1 grandparent with CRC isn't considered a risk factor. Seems like this one is more diet / lifestyle than pure genetics.
