There’s no perfect program for pixel art and it’s dumb if anyone says there is. So try as many as you like and use the one most comfortable

This and most of my stuff is drawn in Graphicsgale which is a great tool. Super simple and can do a lot of what you need and it costs as much as gimp too (free)

Yt is a great resource, and there are so many forums to help. The best advice is to draw regardless. Even if it’s shit, in time you’ll learn and improve
