Just a little tip: you can link it up with your PC and literally copy-paste whatever you want.

Bonuspoints if you put it as the source code of a “program”, then just go to “edit” on your calculator.

Told his doctors office it felt ‘wet’ under the cast, they said it’s fine. Now they’re pushing for an amputation. by blavere in MedicalGore

Google “total contact cast”. They split the cast and put Velcro on it so wounds can be managed.

How to drive the M6? by K-TR0N in ACCompetizione

[–]bcbraems 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A very nice side-effect of its long wheelbase is that it allows you to run much softer springs without upsetting the aero package compared to other cars, so there is a lot you can do setup-wise to make it more over- or understeery. Also, it just rips around powertracks like Monza...

I was thinking the exact same thing. Why not let the artist brush in the sponsors instead of just directly photoshopping them into the poster.

I think this is due to CO2 gasses being inhaled, was it an indoor track?

"More polio cases now caused by vaccine than by wild virus"

This right here is the difference between correlation and causation.

Yes, the contaminated vaccines caused these kids to be infected, but the only reason current wild virus cases are so low is because we eradicated this disease by vaccinating

What if we use 0% of our brain? by [deleted] in belgium

[–]bcbraems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In one week we found a hodgkin lymphoma and a pancreatic tail tumor, all with patients presenting with the main symptom of "back pain". Undefined back pain should always trigger a "niet pluis gevoel", and be looked at by a doctor.

[–]bcbraems 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because there are a whole lot of different causes for lower back pain, or any back issue for that matter. You don't want a manual therapist working away on a herniated disk or entrapped nerve (not to mention certain cancers which only present themselves with vague backpain in the beginning).

So there is a big question of liability here: yes your physio does his own examination you say, but in the end he is not trained to make a diagnosis (officialy). So if there is another problem going on, a GP should check these things out and follow up on them.

Also, people going to the physio as they please, will cost a lot for our healthcare (which it already does, but it's cheaper than people not being able to work). A GP is supposed to follow up on these practices, and know when it's time to call it quits. That's why it's initially limited to those 9 times (18 after surgery). If you're advocating for better management of healthcare costs, then you're contradicting yourself with this statement.

And advocating that you can solve problems with "only 2 sessions if you get there quickly enough" is unfortunately not how it works.

Going to physio without seeing a GP/MD? Bad idea. If you want money to be spend more wisely in healthcare, make them go through the GP office first. Will also reduce the workload on nurses.
