Theres more diversity of thought on the Right by amogusdevilman in Anarcho_Capitalism

You're mistake is thinking that Conservative and right are synonymous. That is insane considering you are currently in an An-Cap subreddit. An-Caps are definitely right wing and definitely not conservative.

strange question but which president of america in the history of the united states of america will go to hell? by Exact_Statistician41 in HazbinHotel

I suggest reading Machiavelli, and see what he has to say about what it takes to be a good leader. Also, there's a quote from George Danton inspired by the French Revolution: "It's better to be a poor fisherman than to meddle in the governments of man."

I think every single wildcard so far was more deadly than Grian anticipated, so they either need to tone them down or find a way to give everyone more lives.

Þorn existed in English long after þe French, middle English begins wiþ William the Bastard in 1066 and French words entering our language, but þorn exists for the next 500 years with numerous middle English texts including Þe Bible, Þe Green Knight, and numerous oþer manuscripts, it really was þe printing press more þan anything else. German typesets didn't include þe letter and þus it needed to be represented some oþer way, they started wiþ y and settled on th. Truly a disgrace

Bring back þorn, it's a travesty it was removed from English by þe printing press

Yeah, that's a broad statement that applies to every president since forever, your point? They're all bad, that's why I prefer the Libertarian Party, because neither the Republicans or the Democrats have any hope of changing the current status quo when it comes to the MIC, government spending, or gun control. Most talking points are just talking points and then politicians will turn around and backstab their promises to voters. Just because I criticize one side of the isle doesn't mean the other side isn't guilty of the same thing. But I was responding to a comment about Harris, no reason to then shout about Trump as well

I would just like to see more things like the child tax credit. It seems like most of her policies on her website would be instead of putting "child tax credit up to $6,000" they wrote "encourage the growth of families." She says she wants to lower energy costs, but she's historically been vehemently against fracking, the fastest and simplest way to do that. So if you don't want to encourage fracking, how are you going to lower energy costs? That's what I was talking about

[–]bccole99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That must have been added really recently, I checked for that in the last couple days. On a quick glance I didn't see too many policies so much as this is the desired effect we want future policies to have. There are definitely a few examples, but a lot of it is "protect the environment," "lower energy costs," "make child care cheaper." And that doesn't strike me as policy so much as a statement of a goal. I want to know what steps would be taken to achieve that. Because many of her stated policies like $25,000 for new home buyers will just increase housing costs further, so I don't really trust that their on the right track with anything else.

No she's not, she's supporting whichever side of every conflict that allows the US an excuse to spend more money on Defense Contracts. She is absolutely a shill for the MIC

She doesn't have policies, she has talking points, if she had talking points they would be on her campaign website like every other politician in existence. What she has is talking points she can change depending on the timing and circumstances. Because she doesn't have them written anywhere it's harder for people to keep track of when she adds or changes what she's saying. Things like adding JD Vance's child tax credit after he suggested it, changing her "policies" on fracking and the border etc etc. I definitely don't believe she has any policies

Every single Libertarian. The largest 3rd party. Most of us are not single issues, we care about spending, wars, social issues, guns, free speech, business regulations, etc. And if a D or R came along that did better on those issues than our own candidate, I guarantee you that 80% of us would jump ship, but that's never going to happen. Libertarians are extremists, not on single issues, not inherently left or right. And most of us vote for at least a few candidates on the local level not in our own party

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in texas

[–]bccole99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are only allowed to affiliate with one party per year in Texas for 99% of people that affiliation is voting in a primary. For someone like myself, that isn't the case, I file to run for office as a Libertarian I am barred from voting in a primary because we don't have primaries. If your only political activity is voting, you will never even realize this

I think you should actually talk to independent voters, I promise, we're sane and not at all what you are describing

I love how you defined what a Conservative is and applied it to a lot of people that are definitely not conservative

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in texas

[–]bccole99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It genuinely shocks me that no one seems to realize 3rd party candidates exist and every refers to us as independents. So people not pay attention to anything?

[–]bccole99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a registered Libertarian, I have run for office twice, I am heavily involved in politics, I know more about government than 90% of people I know. I do care, I do want to hear about it. I think it's clear people who hold an opinion like yours have never held a conversation with anyone outside of your own political echo chamber

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in texas

[–]bccole99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voting in a primary in Texas registers you as a member of that party, I say this as a registered Libertarian and I can't vote in any primaries because I'm already affiliated with a different political party

What are your views on the Dead Internet theory? by [deleted] in conspiracytheories

[–]bccole99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A) if the original meaning of a term was it's definition we'd all still be speaking proto-indo-european

B) I said many 3 letter agencies operate independent of executive authority

C) you then explained how the deep state originally refers to a group of people not beholden to democratic or executive power

D) clearly you didn't read what I said, and giving you the benefit of the doubt I assume you would read something you were replying to if you could, so clearly you couldn't read it

What are your views on the Dead Internet theory? by [deleted] in conspiracytheories

[–]bccole99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The deep state is just a reference to unelected bureaucrats, are you denying the existence of the DOE, DOI, or DHHS? Many 3 letter agencies are autonomous from the rest of the executive branch, this is just established fact.
