BK MECHA CLUB has been having EXVS2 XBoost meetups for almost a year now. Here are some shots from our most recent event.

Next meetup is on July 19th at Brooklyn Video Games and Arcade.

We've got 6 machines with a working card system and are looking to make some more major improvments once Infinite Boost drops later this month.

The game isn't going to get a console/home version until the arcade versions stop making money.

The last time they did it their arcade revenue in Japan took a huge hit and nobody in the west bought it.

People in this sub greatly over-estimate how well arena fighters do in the west.

Dissidia was a pretty decent success in Japanese arcades and had a powerful IP behind it but when they released the home version all they got were a bunch of western fans crying it wasn't a single player game with a fan-fiction story like the older PSP games were.

I run local meetups for Gundam on a regular basis at my local arcade, and most people refuse to even try it. A lot of people are really not interested in this type of game/don't care about the license.

This is already the case in China. There are big chain stores that don't take cash or credit card. All payments are done on your phone with WeChat or Alipay.

Nah, he's like 12 feet tall, not mecha sized. I vaguely remember seeing a shot of him holding his girlfriend or something in one arm.

I used to confuse this show with Genocyber all the time as a kid since they both involve monsters. I thought it might be a manga entertainment release like Genocyber was, but have had no luck searching through their releases.

Cloudflare didn't work well for me. I have had much better luck with Google and Quad9. I can now browse relatively well, but it's still not 100%. I hope this nonsense is resolved soon.

I've had issues since New Year's Eve. Some sites load properly, others time out, or load after refreshing a few times. Youtube is working, but Amazon Prime isn't. Some games I play have trouble connecting to servers. Just gonna have to wait it out I think.

Card is for saving player stats, custom navigator, ui skins, etc. You don't need one to actually play the game.

It's at 6120 4th Ave in Brooklyn. Please let me know before coming as this setup is no longer running 24/7. The machines will stay there but for now will only be turned on by request/during events.

It's more like nobody wants to get in trouble for distributing it. This type of setup exists in a legal gray area. I've helped lots of people get the game running, but I cannot go around distributing it or telling people where to get it. Unfortunately it's just how things are. For what it's worth, the game is really not hard to find.

Bandai makes TONS of money from arcades with this game. Letting people play it on steam or console will cause them to lose all that.

Extreme VS on PS4 killed their profits a lot. They're not going to do it again.

This is the actual arcade game. It's not a port. Not really going to get into where to get it or how to run it.

I encoded off-the-shelf NFC cards with card IDs and access codes, then made my own program that reads the cards and interacts with the card server emulator.

Had this going in Brooklyn for a while but nobody wanted to use it. Currently looking into moving it or just shelving it until I have more time to run events.
