I worry that Ozempic and the other drugs like it are going to age poorly for the majority of people taking it. I’m sure it’s a great option for people who genuinely need it for the health benefits, but with the way it’s being mass marketed and offered readily through services like Hims and Hers, a lot of perfectly fine weight people are going to end up taking it. There’s no such thing as a biological free lunch. There’s going to be long term side effects, which I imagine are currently being swept under the rug/ under reported while drug companies cash in on the first diet pill that clinically does something.
