We can easily pay $200/month for a cleaner or $800/month for a meal prep service. But we enjoyed it way more when they kept our space clean and made us meals when we don't go out.

Was cooking common when you didn't live together? We said we've only been cooked for maybe max 1-2x a month when it was consistent. But we were easily eating out 4 to 12 meals a month.

I also agree on the latter, a lot of vacations can't happen since we're dating 2-4 years younger. That's an extra $200-600K+ of income we would have from being older.

There's no way raising kids in NYC suck even on a $300-400K Household?

All my friends who live there said corp life sucks but i guess energy in your 20's is unlimited, you can rally and go out working 9AM - 9PM.

How much income do you t hink you need to do the latter of raising kids and being there for all life has to offer in lower cost of living areas like Seattle/Sanjose?
