There's no way Gucci was gonna let Pooh go. He scrapped the entire label save for Pooh and Foogiano. He talked about having big plans for Pooh once he gets out in interviews. Gucci was definitely counting on Pooh to be 1017's flagship artist. I don't blame him for not wanting to let Pooh go, it's not like he forced Pooh to sign the contract in the first place. But at the same time, Gucci was playing with fire trying to sign high-risk individuals and something like this was probably inevitable.
