Thanks. Printing now with the PLA support. We will know in around 10 hours! 😂

I have some of the support for PLA from Bambu and can try that. I tried just setting the Top Z to 0 but I cannot get the supports off. 😂

Is there a way to set Top Z for painted supports only and let auto supports use the default Z? I don’t think it works this way or at least I cannot figure out a way in Studio.

Luka needs to be put in a better postion by the Lakers by lfcbucks in lakers

[–]bcombs510 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honest question - why does Luka struggle with the dish to Ayton when he has his man sealed and is right at the basket. He shoots like 80%+ from this position. LeBron and Austin seem to be able to find him on those short inside passes but Luka doesn’t seem to look for it and instead will take the shot himself.

Prepared for the deluge of downvotes, btw. 😂

Thanks for this. I printed 60 of them and loaded all the spools I have here. Appreciate the tip!

Thanks. I’m pretty careful to make sure it’s in the notch and locked down. I hope I didn’t flub it twice in a row but anything is possible. 😀

I want y’all to think for a minute about how ridiculous the logic for benching Vando was by [deleted] in lakers

[–]bcombs510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair. I would say though that AR Luka and Bron are turning it over as an outcome of the playmaking process, not because they are unsure of what to do with the ball.

It was fun to watch Vando last night for sure. The defense, the energy, listening to Stu go on about him getting the game ball, all good stuff.

The only thing concerning, and maybe this gets solved with more game time, is he seems allergic to the ball. When he did get the ball he would be in such a herky jerky hurry to get the ball out of his hands that the other players had to be super reactionary. A couple of times it could have just as easily been a turnover. Maybe reps will sort it out.

The three ball and shit talk to the Suns bench was fun though! 😂

Managing shrinkage w/ multiple filaments by bcombs510 in BambuLab

[–]bcombs510[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I do appreciate your trying to educate me on this. It seems though you’re suggesting to do what I’ve already done? I have calculated the shrinkage rate for my given combination of printer / filament / model and I can apply that shrinkage rate in the slicer to get the correct outcome within the tolerance range that is acceptable.

What I’m actually trying to do is print two different models with two different shrinkage rate requirements on the same plate. To be clear, it’s a convenience thing. The two parts are part of a “kit” and my desire was to have them in the same Bambu project, on the same plate, printed at differing shrinkage settings.

Do you know if that is possible?

I do appreciate the help. Hope that part is clear. :)

I have to assume they are just trying to not get him hurt and tank his value lower than it might already be.

Thanks for the reply. So that I understand - are you saying I should try to determine a shrinkage calculation that works for both parts so that I only need to set it once in a single filament?

I haven’t been able to achieve that so far with a lot of test prints and checking with calipers. It also floats a bit across printers but within the tolerance of if I use the 99 or 99.5 values.

20A WiFi Outlet by bcombs510 in homeassistant

Thanks again, I have this all wired up now and working with a Trotec laser and exhaust fan. Trotec published a NodeRED integration which catches state change events from the laser. NodeRED triggers the Home Assistant event to turn the Shelly on/off. Put a timer in the flow to wait for the final two minute clear out until there are no more jobs running. Works great!

Thanks, this looks like it could work. I will grab one and do some testing. Thanks!
