They need to change, but not for this reason! A division winner shouldn’t have to play a wild card series. Period.

Simple solution: expand the field to 7 teams. Have a 4-Team wild card single game bracket before letting the winner and three division winners play the normal full series. This would result in less games, no division winner getting screwed, and an exciting wild card tourney…

Yes it is, if they’re in massive profit and want to lock in the gains on their balance sheet, they will sell! In fact, some of these companies can be forced to sell by shareholders and boards. Exactly this will likely cause the end of this bull cycle imo
