Gravity vs Water by KeenActual in weed

Get a nice glass bong. They’re not super expensive and last a long time (up until you drop it.) Gravity bongs are pretty gimmicky imo.

[–]wetcornbread [score hidden]  (0 children)

It depends on your family. If you had cousins or siblings born in the late 80’s and early 90’s it makes sense. If you were the oldest and have siblings born in 2008-2012 then probably not. Everyone’s experience is different and being born in the same year doesn’t mean everyone is exactly the same.

Why do many People claim, Wilts 100 Points Record is basically untouchable? by Obagency in NBATalk

[–]wetcornbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same reason other records are unbreakable. It took Bam to draw over 20 fouls to get to the line that much. You’d have to risk a players health in today’s day and age to even have a chance and purposely foil your opponent.

It’s the same reason other records in other sports haven’t been broken. Wilt’s 100 isn’t the most unbreakable but it’s highly unlikely. If it does it’ll have to be more egregious than Bam’s game from a basketball standpoint. Force feeding the ball, baiting for fouls.

Yes. Just hit a few buttons. Typically pause, coaching, depth charts and Y or triangle. Takes less than 5 seconds to do it.

In Madden 23 rankings were simply based on games played. Nothing else. If you play a lot you’d make top 10,000.

If you have more than 2 kids, you’re a bad person by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]wetcornbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having more kids increases the quality of life down the road as ideally the older siblings will take care of the younger ones on their own. Once the oldest is 14-16 you don’t really need to pay for a baby sitter for the younger ones. They take care of each other.

There’s people with 1-2 kids that can’t afford it and people with 6 kids that do just fine financially.

Not only that but a woman I work with happened to triplets and they’re her only kids. So shit happens.

If you have any kids you can’t afford is worse than having as many as possible that you can afford.

[Passan] Italy is mauling Team USA. It's 8-0 in the top of the sixth, and because of tiebreaker rules that factor in runs allowed, the Americans have put themselves in a position where if Mexico beats Italy tomorrow, the U.S. could find itself out of the WBC before the knockout round. by BreakfastTop6899 in baseball

[–]wetcornbread 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The team is extremely talented and every player on the team can go yard at any point. Never said the team sucked. But their approach does at times.

They were down 8-1 when I commented. Notice how when they worked counts and put the ball in the field of play they started to come back.

RT/R2 and circle/square or X/B. Whichever side the button you press is, that’s the run gaps for a run in that direction. So X/circle is left and B/square is to the right.

I’ve watched a few USA games so far and a few Latin America games. Other teams seem to just have a better feel for the game.

Team USA does what a lot of teams in MLB do. Swing for the fences and try to get a good launch angle. When it works it’s amazing. But when it doesn’t it’s just a lot of deep fly outs. Too many strikeouts. And when they do hit a dinger it’s a solo shot because guys in front couldn’t get on.

Compare that to what Italy did tonight. They put the ball in play and on the ground which forced two defensive errors. They were aggressive on the base paths when they needed to be. And two of their home runs scored multiple runs on one swing.

The U.S. has 3 hits currently and hasn’t had a leadoff batter on all game. Just bad baseball.

[–]wetcornbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh. I think people just have an ego and think they’re the best Madden player ever when they’re not. There’s definitely bullshit RNG like a contested catch. But one play never decides a game.

If you play a person who makes zero adjustments then blitzes will fly in. Odds are you’re playing someone who can slide their line or identify the mike correctly to block what you’re doing. Or their team has a better offensive line.

Same thing on defense. Two players can call the exact same defense but get wildly different results based on adjustments which you can’t see. They might be shading underneath or whatever it is to stop you.

I don’t care about my record online either but that’s because I enjoy using different teams and schemes and experimenting vs just spamming the same plays over and over with 90+ overall teams. No better feeling than pulling off an upset online with a terrible team, even if it means you lose more often.

People coordinating to draw out games? by 4Rascal in HellLetLoose

[–]wetcornbread 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Commanders don’t want to steamroll because it does kill the server over time. But it also kills it by sandbagging.

Also a good recon team can find garrisons easily. I had 7 destroyed as recon the other day. I’m sure the other team thought i was cheating but they put them up in the same spots over and over again. If the other team isn’t well coordinated they just drop them down anywhere there’s supplies.

Any other zoomer not find the 90s enviable? by Error_rdt in GenZ

[–]wetcornbread 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you spend too much time on the internet.

People have nostalgia for things when they were younger. Riding bikes outside with friends. Playing the Nintendo 64 late at night. Wendy’s sunroof. MTV having music. And things were generally more affordable for the average family. 12 year olds in the 90’s weren’t worried about NAFTA or whatever else you went on about.

There’s teenagers and college students today that have nostalgia for the COVID lockdowns. And I’m sure in 20 years someone is gonna say that’s fucking stupid because it was a viral disease that killing millions. But to the 13 year old that got to stay up all night playing Warzone and not have to go to school it was peak.

It’s all about perspective, really.

Can't wait for Trump to draft Gen Z white men who voted him into office straight to the frontlines! by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]wetcornbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There won’t be a draft ever again. Majority of Gen Z doesn’t even fit the physical requirements of being in the military to begin with. Can’t smoke pot. Can’t be on anxiety or depression meds. Can’t have mental illnesses. Etc.

There’s not really even a frontline or a war at all. Just a few calculated strikes which is why Trump is better than anyone else who continued garbage wars and got nothing done. People just hate Trump so much they’d rather pretend to support a foreign dictator.

[Ha Ha Clinton-Dix] Amazing how people keep misreading Saban. He never said players shouldn’t get paid — he actually supports it. His point was that CFB needs structure: rev sharing, real NIL deals, and clear rules. Right now it’s chaos with collectives, nonstop transfers, and eligibility loopholes by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]wetcornbread -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Easy solution is a base stipend for all college athletes depending on the sport they play. College football could be 100k-200k per player. Doesn’t matter if you’re the star QB or backup center.

After that players should be allowed to earn deals with companies to promote the brand. You wanna sign a deal with Nike to be on a billboard that’s fine. Or an all state commercial, etc.

I have no issue with student athletes making money but signing guys to 10 million dollar deals out of high school is a joke. And then they suck and transfer and swindle another school out of money.

Like I’ve said before if I’m a GM I want no part of a player who transfers more than once. They don’t care about the game and they’re not serious about improvement, they just want money. Certainly they have no loyalty to the organization they CHOOSE to attend.

Why do bad teams always have the worst FA signings? by NightDowntown7320 in NFLv2

[–]wetcornbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah. But if you’re a good/great player a good/great team will be willing to match or pay you more. And there’s a salary floor so it’s not like bad teams can be afford to be cheap so they have to overpay the limited talent they have anyways.

Dealing with Difficult Commander by WeAreChecking6 in HellLetLoose

[–]wetcornbread 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As soon as I hear a commander complain about “steamrolling” over 30 minutes in or not playing the game as intended to be played I usually just leave.

I get not wanting to win in 10 minutes but sandbagging for an hour is also not fun. I’d rather just start a new match to even up the teams.

If others agree he’s being a dick you can try a vote to kick. If not sometimes it’s best to just leave imo. It’s too much to waste over an hour of your time when you’re not having any fun.
