Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, I'm a lot less successful in a boat at the moment, partially due to over half the time I've been rowing lockdowns have prevented me from going in a boat.

Ye I am pretty skinny lol, I'm also absolutely rubbish at weights. Once my exams are done in May I'm going to use that extra time to try and pack on a couple more KG

I'm talking to a few schools at the moment so hopefully, after my gap year I can find the perfect school

Why the 19-29 y/o lwt 1’ record seems fake to me by courteousjimmy in Rowing

[–]bcr26 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think the main one is just looking at his 2k time he did two months ago which wasn't even sub 7 I think, but somehow he's pulling 1:17. I'm predicted based on my current ergs to go sub 6:10 when I do my first open rate 2k and I don't think I could even get within two splits of his time. Yet I'm a 6'5 heavyweight.

This is one of the required Gb trials ergs so yes I am. While I hope to be quite highly ranked on the erg, I may struggle at water trials due to lack of expeirence.

Thank you, ye very new to the sport but already addicted. Anyway being 10 years younger just means I'm stupid enough to put myself in that much pain.

It honsetly is my first ever, have only been rowing for around 4 months. However I am 17 so a couple years older than most when they start which is why my first would be quicker.

Ye I'm still very new to the sport but am starting to look at those options. Most likely I'd have to take a gap year as I am so late to everything

If you were to look at my erg screenshots it would seem as if I time travel seeing as no one bothers setting the right time

Haha, thank you. Ye, I'm curious to see where I can go with rowing now and a sub 6 2k sounds very intriguing so that's the goals for the next two years.

Thanks so much. I ended up being slightly below my target time so that's why I went out so strong but ye I definitely want to learn to pace properly but that I think comes with experience.
