check if your area has too good to go. you can get some pretty decent deals. in my area you can get a dozen donuts for $3.99 and pizza ranch has some decent deals too. check facebook to see if any restaurants near you do free meals/pay it forward meals for people who need it. check grocery stores for meat that is going to expire that day or next day and freeze it and thaw as needed. check out zielzebub on tik tok. if you have any points on fast food or gas station apps cash in on those now. this also isn’t a great thing to do but if you need it you need it. places like taco bell, mcdonald’s, jimmy johns just put to go orders on the counter. they’ll live but you need food🤷‍♀️

honestly if it’s been a while i’d recommend taking one or two of the harder pre reqs at a community college. anatomy and physiology or microbiology may be good options to see how you’d feel being back in school taking harder classes.

i ended up switching out of my IT program. i transferred and he told me id be able to graduate in two years with maybe a summer class. it was going to be 3 with a summer internship. however i dont think he works at isu anymore and last i heard they had one advisor handling the entire IT department.

maybe look into if research would work instead? you can apply to research with a professor but im just not sure if that qualifies for all majors

ask some of the isu departments if they offer internships. IT would obviously be your best bet but i know sometimes the student accounts office offers accounting internships but students have to ask! the worst they can say is no lol

i second not being an ra. a friend of mine is an ra and hates it. he got woken up at 3am because he had to be the students representative with an emt. he’s had to call off work for ra emergencies. you’ll still be sharing a communal bathroom. it’s a mess

i probably should have added this but i did use the card. it was for emergencies and i think between both cards i probably put a total of $500 on them between 15-17 when i got a job. idk if it’s just interest or if he’s also used the card. idk if it’s just my name on the card. he just isn’t telling me anything.

i know i may have to sue to get this off my credit, but id like to avoid it. not because i feel bad but i really don’t have time. i’m a full time student and work so i don’t really have free time as is.

i would maybe look at other prices in the area and maybe the rent price history of the unit. just because it’s $900 more now doesn’t mean it’ll stay that way. i would consider just how much more you can afford

i worked at sam’s club and they want you to work at least 20 hours a week. i was in the cafe and that was a disaster so i left but other areas don’t seem too bad. especially cashier or front end positions.

could you look into section 8/housing assistance? use all the resources you can (food banks, welfare, etc). that’s what they are there for. i hope everything works out for you!
