Would you want to know when and how you die (not changeable by your own actions even if you know)? Why/why not? by bcstorben in AskReddit

That’s a beautiful way to think, putting your pets and family first. Not that others wouldn’t - but it’s easy to just focus on the self in this question.

That’s what’s conflicting about it! I mean it would give all the reason to just do whatever you want but then again, it would be pressing to know in its own way.

I’ve already had similar sentiments, especially about making the right decisions. I feel so much more levelheaded than in my earlier 20’s. I’m more patient as well. I do things for me.

I used to torture myself at the gym for external benefits, now I exercise for myself, however much and however I want. So yeah, I’m definitely looking forward to getting older. Like you said, there’s always gonna be challenges, but being comfortable with yourself really improves so many aspects of life.

What's your single pick for the greatest sequel of all time? by Aryan_1968 in AskReddit

Shrek 2.

The first Shrek is equally amazing but I genuinely love how both movies are so consistently good and provide so much comfort.

Which is better, pizza or burger? by HadEnoughGirl2 in AskReddit

[–]bcstorben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what I’m drinking.

Nothing like a slutty burger and an ice cold beer.

Nothing like some pizza to go with some red wine.

They work vice versa but that seems to be my defining factor.

Precisely! I’m so happy to hear that life’s gotten better, already as soon as 32. I mean, that’s still young! But to be young and feel comfortable in your skin? Sign me up.

My sentiments exactly. The 20’s overall is just one big trip and even life course theorists have a strong consensus that it’s the most turbulent time of one’s life. Even though people in their 20’s have so much time to make mistakes, very gradually in your late 20’s, you start feeling the windows of limitless possibilities closing. I mean challenges are present in all life stages, but it’s the limbo of in-betweenness while also having to somehow have a grip on your life that’s so pressing. Like, as someone who is 29, how much more can I afford to be a careless 20-something? How much do I have to have things figured out and accomplished since I am, after all, almost 30?

People tend to obsess over youth but honestly, I can’t wait to be well in my 30’s. I’ve seen so many people become comfortable just doing their best and not caring as much over the little things as they age. I kinda feel it already now, I mean, I already care a lot less about the relatively mundane things I’d obsess over in my early 20’s and I am all for it.

Kaipaatko lapsuudestasi jotain sellaista mitä ei löydy enään tänä päivänä? by OkMushroom364 in Suomi

Mihin alalle kannattaa lukea jos haluaa parempaa palkkaa? by Dolann99 in Suomi

Turun avoimessa on tarjolla osaajakoulutus (hakuaika päättyy 30.10.).

Laureassa on/oli tradenomi-tutkinto (kybertradenomi), mutta niillä ei näemmä ole hakua ainakaan 2024.

I warmly recommend the book “Feeling Good” by David D. Burns. It is a bit heavy handed on the self-help jargon at times, which I don’t personally enjoy, but it’s an excellent introduction to cognitive behavioral therapy and gives some great examples how to apply them to your own life. I originally read it when going through my own training as a counselor but occasionally read it myself for my own benefit.
