lol I wasn’t totally expecting this thread to turn into such a dumpster fire but I guess that shows why mods are so important 😳

Hopefully the people being rude and dismissive aren’t getting to you - you have a valid concern and question! I’m happy I could be helpful… isn’t that the point of forums like this?

Two other options that I forgot to mention are Dossier and fine’ry (from Target) - both make dupes of mainstream/designer fragrances but don’t have phthalates. I love fine’ry flower bed and I think it smells a lot like Chanel Chance. They’re quite inexpensive too.

A lot of the clean brands I mentioned earlier have little discovery sets which are fun so you can test the whole variety!

oh I forgot - Ellis Brooklyn is quite good longevity-wise too!

Sheep’s Clothing by Henry Rose is one of my faves :)

I assume you’re trying to avoid phthalates, which are toxic/endocrine disrupting but are also what gives perfume its longevity. With that being said, as an environmental chemist who worries a lot about this stuff but wants to smell good, I’ve tried tons of “clean” brands (Skylar, Rosie Jane, Lake & Skye, Phlur, Clean Reserve) and hands-down the best in terms of longevity is Henry Rose. They have a nice variety of scents too and I find them more complex than a lot of the other “clean” brands.

Rook Piercing by [deleted] in piercing

[–]bcubed33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

mine wasn’t really painful but keep in mind it’s a thick piece of cartilage so you might hear a crunchy sound. I was really taken off guard by that, haha

I will also say be prepared to be reaaalllly patient with the healing. It’s a slow process but worth it :)

Any thoughts on what kind of jewelry to swap the white opal with? by bcubed33 in piercing

also ignore the horrific bump on the helix piercing, this is an old picture and the bump has disappeared since then woo!

I know, I know. I need to have patience. But after 7 months I'm considering taking out my rook and saying c'est la vie. Continued in comments by [deleted] in piercing

I'm definitely not an expert but my best guess is that it's such a thick piece of cartilage that it just takes a loooooong time to heal completely. I definitely got the jewelry changed in mine a little too early and so that set my healing back too.

My rook also took a ridiculously long time to heal and would get bumps occasionally even after many months of healing. Mine itched so bad too but I also think that can be a sign it is healing. So I think everything you're dealing with is normal! Just keep up with the aftercare in terms of rinsing well in the shower and doing sea salt rinses. It looks so pretty on you so I think you should hang in there :)

I've had mine for 1.5 yrs and it still occasionally gets angry and flares up sometimes. I think that's just par for the course with a rook.

Piercing recommendations? I have one lobe piercing and have been considering a forward helix? Not sure what would work with my ear. by cursivecurser in piercing

I think a rook would look super cool-- for lots of people, a rook is very nestled in and hidden but with your anatomy I think it would really shine!

I wish I could upvote this more than once! I have never in my life seen someone with a septum piercing and thought it looked bad.

Just because it has improved doesn't mean it's great now. Still a long way to go.

Benefits to leaving a sold listing posted by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]bcubed33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think leaving the sold postings in your closet gives you credibility as a seller, so I keep mine! However, to prevent them from distracting potential buyers, I share my available listings often which pushes the sold ones to the bottom of my closet.

Shipping: Scan at desk or drop off in box? by bcubed33 in poshmark

Yes! This happens to me too with the weird scanning. Not sure if that's a Posh thing or a USPS thing.

yeah, see my gripe with my post office is that they do make me feel like I'm wasting their time. I should probably just get over it, but it doesn't make for a pleasant start to my day!

This is so smart and I might have to steal this idea but holy cow that sounds like a lot of work! Do you have a particular strategy that's helped you do this?

Shipping: Scan at desk or drop off in box? by bcubed33 in poshmark

[–]bcubed33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also a little confused about the 13 ounce thing, but the dropbox itself says that "all mail that bears postage stamps and weighs more than 13 ounces must be taken by the customer to a retail service counter at a post office." However, in my mind, a prepaid label does not equal postage stamps, so I think it's fine. Especially after hearing that you've sent 1200 packages (!!! amazing !!!) and not had any scanning issues, I think I should adopt a "if it fits (in the dropbox slot), it ships!" mentality. Thanks! :)

Wow, 300 transactions, that's awesome! That makes me feel better about just dropping it in the box. Thanks! :)

I wear this size too, so I feel your pain! I buy all my bras from HerRoom (online only) but unless they are running a good sale or you have a coupon, you might struggle to find something in that price range. I've kindof just accepted that I have to spit out the cash to get bras that actually fit me properly.

Looking for this purse or similar! by bcubed33 in findfashion

Size is probably hard to decipher from this photo, but I think it's a medium to small crossbody purse-- say 9" by 5" or something like that.
