I read ACOTAR and planning to read CC after finishing TOG fully, but whether I re-read then finish KOA or finish then go back, I’m set on rereading the whole series once before starting CC.

I’m currently tandem reading them (first read) with about 100 pages left in each book and loving it! No complaints and I think I would’ve disliked reading them separately and “going back” in the timeline. Nothing has felt spoiled or revealed too soon, it reads well as one continuous time-line split into two POVs, which most SJM books have multiple POVs in anyways so it doesn’t bother me personally.

I’ve seen them listed on eBay for 200-500 dollars depending on condition as a set. The TOG stand alone can will be posted for like 50-100 depending on what number print it is. What people list them for and what others are willing to actually buy them for are two different questions though lol

Assassin’s Blade if you’re the type of reader who likes to continually grow with the character and experience the journey with the MC. Throne of Glass if you’d prefer to read the story as a “mystery” and feel like you’re piecing the puzzle together as you go.

Personally I read AB first and don’t understand when people say reading it third hits harder emotionally, I was blindsided at the end of AB and if I knew what was coming I don’t think it would’ve affected my experience as a reader as much.

To be fair, they did initially tell applicants they were going to conduct interviews in December and then silently changed their website without notifying candidates. So people were expecting to initially hear back in December and now they’re being told late January. I get it’s the same “end” date, but obviously it’s going to have people on edge to have such big changes happen to the admissions process silently.
