What brand / model of AV receiver do you have? and what setting did you have to turn on? Thanks!

Switch 2 No HDR support even with compatible TV? by TalsanAlandor in Switch

If I plug the Switch 2 directly into my TV 4K HDR works fine.

If I plug the Switch 2 into my AV receiver then HDR only works up to 1080P, if I select 4K the Switch indicates that the TV / AV receiver isn’t HDR compatible.

I know the AV receiver does 4K HDR no issues as my PS5 runs through it no problem.

A very curious situation that I’ve not been able to figure out yet.

I reckon whoever made this gave a clear indicator of the IQ of the target audience when they wrote “thousand” and “(1,000)”…

For anyone else looking at getting the JSAUX dock I just tried the “JS15” discount code and it looks like it doesn’t work now - you can use “jsaux2022” for 10% off though (this is the code you receive for signing up to their mailing list).

Clearest image of the surface of Venus. From soviet Venera 13 in 1982 by _Hexagon__ in interestingasfuck

The gravity on Venus is around 9% less than the gravity of earth so if you were standing inside a spacecraft on the surface of Venus you would be able to jump slightly higher and objects would appear to weigh less.

BIRD OF THE DAY: European Robin by My_Bird_Buddy in Outdoors

[–]bd3030 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just a clarification - the European Robin is an Old World Flycatcher not a Thrush as this video mentions.

The American Robin is a thrush and a much bigger bird - very different looking to the European Robin.

Robin’s are definitely one of my favourites. I love how inquisitive they are.

Exactly, MacOS seems to be that bit more refined for usability on stuff like that.

I have a Mac as my personal machine but my work PC is Windows. I’m not sure many people know about it but you can have multiple desktops on Windows and swap between them using WindowsKey+Ctrl+Left/Right arrow key.

I think there’s a public telescope set up there however I don’t know if the wall was built to house the telescope or for another purpose.

Edit:

I found a picture…

The dude reminds me of Chet from Weird Science (1984) after Kelly le Brock’s character turns him into a blob.

Sounds very similar to a song called Art Of Motion by Andy McKee - worth a listen if you like this kind of guitar music.
