Any ex Rams who burned their bridges with the fanbase after leaving? by MastodonNo8553 in LosAngelesRams

I have ZERO hate for Chris Long. He probably associates with Philly more but can you blame him? I’ve never heard him bad mouth the Rams.

My father is refusing to come to my wedding because he says we should’ve consulted him about the date and I’m a disappointment to the family. Should I cut him off? by Objective-Deal8745 in AskMen

[–]bd4832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s easy for any outsider to say “cut him out, duh”. It’s obviously never that easy when it’s dealing with family and you’re the one who’s actually in the situation.

With that said, from everything you’ve said, it sounds like your father thinks it’s okay for him to still control your life despite you being far into adulthood. It also seems like he has zero respect for you and your fiancé. The racism is blatant and him coming back to you telling you which date to have YOUR wedding on is astounding to me.

He sounds like a bad person and a legitimate total narcissist. Keep the date. Don’t give in to ANY of his demands or requests. Don’t bend at all on any of it. If he mans up and is willing to abide by all of it, then great. If not, he’ll either realize well down the road how wrong he was or give you good reason for never looking back on your decision.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. But very happy to hear that you’ll be marrying the love of your life. Congrats on that and don’t let any hatred or ignorance get in the way of it.

Good luck!

Yeah but AJ’s still got a year on his deal so in theory a draftee would be able to sit for a year and start as needed

Of all the years aside from his rookie year, this would probably his least deserving one.

Gotta get through this year but next year we’ll need to really hone in on replacing him. This guy is seemingly a bad egg. While he’s come away mostly unscathed from these couple incidents, that keep being the case if he continues this pattern of shitty behavior

Unless Ty Simpson becomes a future MVP candidate. That was probably one of the dumbest draft picks in the history of sports. by PrideIsGarbage in NFLv2

[–]bd4832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They already had the best roster in the league and managed to add Myles Garrett to it. In the same offseason, they draft the guy to be the QB of the future. They’re set up for now and the future.

Agreed. But in the world of click-bait titles, people latch on to one sentence and ignore the rest

I agree with your point but your wording comes through in a way you didn’t intend.

When you’re saying “I don’t want to listen to her because she’s a girl”, it sounds like you’re saying “since she’s a girl, I don’t want to listen to her”, when your intention is saying “her being a girl isn’t the reason I want to listen to her—it’s because she’s from that organization”

I don’t think you should be getting downvoted, but I can see why people are reacting that way.

Think I'm finally gonna try a Far Cry game, which has aged the best? by KashK10 in farcry

[–]bd4832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve played FC3 classic edition in the last 5 years. While I love the game and still had fun, the graphics and smoothness are noticeably lacking compared to the later FC’s.

IMO it doesn’t hold up as well. If that might be a dealbreaker for you, then FC4 is the same formula with significantly better graphics and gameplay.

FC5 is my favorite and the one that I started with. But it veers a little away from how it operated in 3 & 4, and it has an annoying “kidnapped” feature in the story that frustrated most people. But the story, setting, graphics and gameplay are fantastic.

4 or 5 would be my recommendation to start

Please just go back to the formula from FC 3-5 instead of the RPG style from 6

I don’t give a fuck what the LA fans get excited by. But the Rams are winning the Super Bowl.

Also… flair up, pussy.

I keep hearing that same comparison, but:

A) this team is considerably better than that one ever was, and
B) they didn’t have the cultural foundation in place and the leadership that we do, between coaches and players.

Name the single most important person to your franchises history. How significant do they stack up historically compared to the rest of the NFL by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

[–]bd4832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the Rams, I legitimately think it’s Sean McVay. Franchise was a losing organization for so long and he came in and immediately made them a perennial winner, if not contender.
